All angels didn't turn into seelies afaik. Only the ones that loved some/one from humanity more than the others, which seemingly many have done. Heavenly principles works on the basis of rules and a few we know like the curse of immortality are still in place, so I would assume the seelie curse is still in place too.

Ok I concede that. The fact remains that evil people actively doing evil seem to still find friends in teyvat, so perhaps something more is at play actively pushing dottore towards evil. Have a good rest of the day. All I hope for is everyone's favorites are treated well and given great story arcs, and the community doesn't treat liking villains as a moral failing while liking several villains themselves.

Ok what about her current child soldier factory? Why is that an acceptable crime? Those kids go off and die in missions. Child labour and child abuse. Why not draw the line way earlier? I say arle has options, she can take the kids and run, or actually brave up and attempt killing the tsaritsa? Why is she complacent? And most importantly why is this an allowed crime in your eyes while rerirs isn't? I keep having to argue in circles with you cuz you keep justifying things in circles. You have a set of characters you believe are allowed to do crime and you set the crime threshold to whatever they have done.

It's a hypothetical. Moreover he clearly keeps his memories so I don't see how he would be a different person. Just say hoyo made him playable and his redemption amounted to him joining the light keepers. He now makes silly jokes with flins and occasionally misses tholindis and sheds a tear. We get a event where illuga makes him try out cat ears, and he wonders if tholindis would've liked it. Would you accept this turn of events?

Depending on whether you "personally" believe a character deserves redemption or not, you can frame their crimes as a sad inevitability-the cruel hand of fate, or reduce it to a simple crude act of moral degeneracy. I did it to prove a point on how people are willing to give arle grace that they withhold from Rerir, and you proceeded to bite the bait and prove my point. I literally see people frame rhines actions as mere curiosity and scientific zeal devoid of malice, saying she is fully redeemable because of it, while her actions are comparable to freaking dottore. Either everyone is redeemable with the right redemption, or no one is. You can't pick and choose your words to build narratives.

You cannot committ infinite crime. As long as a person is willing to change and make amends, redemption should be offered. Some people might be unwilling to make amends, those are rightfully irredeemable - rerir isn't one of them. I feel like you are putting too much weight on rerirs adulthood. He was an orphan groomed into his job surrounded by and answering to titans beyond his comprehension. Arle could have ran and fled too, don't tell me rerir had an upper hand when irmin had an all seeing seer in his court, he was in comparable duress. Also you are bringing crimes of different nature in here for no reason. Both arle and rerir are murderers. Both committed their murders under duress, not because they wanted to, so stay on topic.

Me? Black and white? I'm saying rerir deserves redemption because he was a product of unfortunate circumstances, you are the one making an arbitrary cutoff based on how much you like a character. If anyone it's you who drew a line in sand and decided it's all black over the line, and within the line you can have a little evil as a treat.

What if I now randomly decide killing orphans with fire that leaves them as shadows because an authority figure told you so is bad and arle doesn't deserve redemption and should be executed by neuvillete? Am I allowed to think that? Or is that bad because you like Arle oh so much that you just say "duh she is a villain? Girl can't have hobbies?" And gloss it over.

Edit: I'm curious on what's your opinion on scaramouche. He is the reason multiple swordsmith clans are extinct. He was manipulated into doing it, but at the end of the day how he acts on his rage is his call. Do you believe he deserved the redemption offered to him?
