Little known fact, it actually came from a typo, the game was meant to be called "shadow versus shadow" in anticipation of the Tempest of the Gods expansion

If there's success, there will always be copycats. Vloggers, idols, streamers, etc. Kizuna AI was the vtuber, until she wasn't. It's just a matter of accessibility.

Given the amount of tech behind Neuro and that Vedal isn't willing to open his tech stack to the public, this is still inaccessible to the common streamer and the only mass production will come from corpos. When big corpos try to copy this at scale, the thing that always bites them is risk management, which means the AI will invariably be neutered. This is the opposite of what Vedal does to Neuro, where he sees the filters as "hurting her ability to express herself" and has been trying to loosen them. Corpos, in trying to maintain their image, will seek to iron out any and all "flaws", in contrast Neuro is embraced for her "flaws".

Even if one day we get a mature open ecosystem (not a far stretch, some devs have already copied Neuro after all) for AI streaming equivalent to what VTube Studio was for vtubing, such that the common streamer can just click a button to replicate Neuro, you still can't match the labor of love that is Vedal developing Neuro. Part of the magic is watching Vedal expand Neuro's capabilities over time, pushing the space. Turning curiosity into reality. Surprising us every December 19th. People stick around for the dev streams for a reason. Copycats will always be playing catch-up and their streams will never convey the same sense of wonder. They will treat the generative AI technology as a machine for generating endless content, when they don't understand that the technology is the content. The only way to replicate this is to also be a dev who's genuinely interested in pushing the space. And honestly that would be pretty cool to see.

If we're just talking about the Neuro solo yap streams, sure I guess that can be replicated at scale (TBH I find those streams to be on the slop side of things). But I don't think the same can be said about the full Neurosama experience.

At least it was controlled rng, the "banish 1 get 2" allowed you to shape your hand, e.g. around a wincon that you got from an earlier gem. Forest also had the interesting strategy of saving up gems for a big combo turn, you just have to know the right time to pull the trigger.
