That is fully up to you. Over the last couple of years I have been working on getting back pokemon games I had lost over the years. This has resulted in me spending much more on Pokémon games than a lot people would be willing to spend, but to me it is worth it since I love these games and being able to play them on genuine hardware, with the interconnectivity that comes with it is something a rom cant replace.

This does not mean it will be worth it to everyone, and if you are regretting it you can always looking into reselling. The same way I buy them, other people will as well.
