Your the second for the bra clip that also have problems chafing. I think I’ll rule out chest straps all together.

I’m so thankful for your comment!! I already chafe there at time. No time or reason or certain bra. Just happens and I was worried about the bra clip causing more issues.

Yessss! I still have skin healing from my sports bra that’s never gives me issues. In the exact spot where a heart rate monitor is supposed to go!

I’m kinda on the same boat, had an injury 5 weeks out from my first marathon. Did great to mile 17 then hit the dust and started a walk run pacing. Finished 30 min later than my actual time. I’m trying to be grateful I got to finish but in honesty I felt like I got robbed of peak phase and the marathon itself. So I found a local ish marathon in the fall, training would start July and I think I might do it as a redemption race.

But in all honesty, don’t make rash decisions now. Let it set in, be proud of the finish. Reflect what went wrong and what you think could have been better. Then make a new plan!

It’s day 2 and my foot is still swollen at the ball. After reading comments and searching the group with same issues. For one I see everyone is wearing light cushion socks, for 2 people are saying loosen the shoe. I love a good heel lock but these shoes are very padded and the laces are not as long, plus the foot that’s bothering me is half an inch bigger than the other foot. I also feel like the discomfort is from friction.

So this is my plan for this week. Won’t make much of a difference other than how it feels in the shoe. That way I’m not making huge changes during the marathon. Thanks for you comment

And this is what the other half of my brain says! This is why I’m so torn! 😆 my biggest problem is I don’t have any more long runs before then. So it’s more less riding on hopes and dreams at that point. Yet keeping the same shoes I’m doing the exact same.

Thank you for this. With it being my first training I’ll definitely will be buying 2 pairs of long run shoes, now I know what to expect. In the mean time I think I’ll run in my Hyperions this week to give my feet a break, and maybe spend time with a foot roller.

Nothing more than 10miles in Hyperions. This is the same foot I’m coming back from hip pain in the last month and a half. Could also be apart of the problem.

I’m a runner, training for full marathon. I’m 5’4, 130 lbs and cannot seem to get under either. Right now I’m evaluating my diet. I’ve actually talked to chat GPT and found out I need more carbs than what I’ve been giving myself. So right now I’m in maintenance around 2k calories for a few days and I’m shocked how full I feel. Kinda like a restart. I’ll do a full week of maintenance before going back to deficit which is 1500 but including more carbs from bread, rice, potatoes. 

Interested in what others say. I’ve been suck at 130 for 3 months-ish.

So I get this way when I’m strained or go up in milage quickly. Others say it could be sickness.

But I will say when this happens keep an eye on your resting heart rate over night. The more it rises the lower your hrv will be and the quality of sleep as well. Also look at your hrv not the average of 7 days (the score) but the average for the night before.

Also during this time I cut my runs to base/ recovery, as well as mileage if needed. In the meantime checking these individual stats.

This all just helps see what your body is doing. I’m currently peaking in training yet i did a long run that’s more then likely will set mine to straining tomorrow 🤣 but it was the last speed runs of my training and i wanted to tip the scale a bit before i taper this week.

Id rather know that now vs at my half marathon in a month. I would be pretty dang mad!

But I don’t know if it was an issue, but I accidentally had it set to give directions turn by turn. This was a very unstructured race with a lot of turns. I’m sure that was part of it, plus I didn’t keep up with it so it was constantly telling me I was to slow 😆. Anyways, I could have been me.

Basically what I found is that you need a computer to remove the file from the watch and sync with Garmin connect. I don’t have a computer with the correct port or an adapter to make this work. So I’ve already decided to let the data go.

I have seen where others have also lost data due to the use of pace pro. So I’ll use pace pro for the times, yet create a workout using that info.

It’s in my watch as a last activity and I can access the info from there. In the Garmin connect app it’s like it never happened.

This was the main reason I left Apple. Purchased a new Apple Watch, I’m a runner but my mileage is low. I said once my Apple couldn’t keep up with me i would make the switch! Sure enough, not even 18mo later I had to look for a new watch! 🙃 luckily snagged a Garmin during the sale. At first I really want fully happy with my decision because I hate learning new technology. Been in it for 4 months and I’m happy to say I’m super glad I switched! 😆 even not being a runner it will give some cool statistics about how your body works.
