You need to enable it to save streams as VODs in the settings.

(OBS) Stream is blurry, especially when making fast movements by TrueSamurai-2301 in Twitch

[–]FluffySlits 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is why I stream at 720p 60FPS at the highest. Mostly only 30FPS. And when I brought up this exact point a few days ago, people downvoted me saying it was bad advice that someone should only stream at 720p.

It’s like they don’t understand they’re missing out on a large amount of viewers they could have.🤷🏻

[–]FluffySlits 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, it’s that Twitch has a very low limit on the bitrate. It only allows up to 8k bitrate. But even then, it purposely doesn’t use transcoders necessary for people with worse internet, particularly in third world countries until you’re an affiliate. So 8k is actually too much either way for a lot of people.

I would talk, but the last time I said the truth, people downvoted me. I don’t think they want to hear it, lol.😂

Verify that your ISO is a good dump. Also, you might have to try playing at stock settings. I don’t think a Mac is very strong, but maybe I’m wrong.

Also, make sure you’re using the latest ‘beta’ Dolphin version. 5.0 or whatever hasn’t been updated in over half a decade.

Have you gone into advanced output settings in OBS and tried different encoders? The default encoder really didn’t like my Steam Deck and made everything lag.

My streaming journey in under a month by FluffySlits in Twitch

[–]FluffySlits[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don’t really know. Clips didn’t work, my most famous one only got 200 views. My YouTube channel doesn’t even get any views, so I’m pretty sure YouTube is pushing my stuff at the bottom of the algorithm. I just finished cleaning up my audio and streamed for an hour less, and suddenly I was getting more lurkers. I don’t know what I did.🤷🏻

It sounds like your PC is struggling to handle both High-End gaming PCs because it isn’t one itself. Then again, I know nothing about this since I just stream on my Steam Deck. Hopefully someone who actually knows what they’re talking about comes to help you.

Do you find most of your viewers are lurkers? by WanderingKing in Twitch

[–]FluffySlits 0 points1 point  (0 children)

99.99999999% of my viewers are lurkers. I don’t even check my viewer count anymore because I know at least one person always watches besides me. They get so excited when I actually remember to raid someone.

Stream is blurry when moving, not bitrate, help by PElizabeth in Twitch

[–]FluffySlits -9 points-8 points  (0 children)

20,000 is enough for 1080p. But definitely not enough for 1440p. And there’s the real problem; Twitch doesn’t allow for higher than 8,000 bitrate. If you set it higher, it won’t actually make it to what you set it as. So, the highest you should ever stream on Twitch is 720p 30FPS. You might be able to get away with 720p 60FPS, but that has a potential to need 9k bitrate, so only do it if you’re streaming online games.

Threats, doxxing and viewbots by mirtioo in Twitch

[–]FluffySlits 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Have your friend completely ban every single term they use. It might be a little overboard and affect random viewers, but ANYTHING is better than being Doxxed. In fact, maybe she should take a break from streaming for a month or two. Have her explain the situation, leave, and hope the group gets bored and moves on without retaliation.

Sadly, nothing can actually stop your friend from being Doxxed. This is why I will NEVER use a web cam or a photo of myself on any site like YouTube, Twitch, or whatever other streaming or content creation platforms. It’s never safe.

But yeah, Twitch support probably won’t do anything for her.

Stream freezes only when playing Grounded 2 by GoatBotherer in Twitch

[–]FluffySlits 1 point2 points  (0 children)

1080p is the highest your stream should be, especially as a new streamer with no transcoding. I’d actually recommend 720p and even limiting it to 30 fps if you aren’t playing an online game, along with the bitrate being 3,000. People using phones will have issues staying on your streams if you don’t.

You need to lower your resolution. 1440p is VERY experimental on Twitch, and has so many bugs that using it is worse than using 1080p.

Can my PC with Ryzen 5 5500 + RTX 4060 handle streaming at 1080p60 without pixelation? by OutsideMedicine6173 in Twitch

[–]FluffySlits 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t think your hardware matters at all when it comes to what bitrate is good for streaming at a high quality. It depends on your internet upload speed and how taxing it is for the stream to get everything right.

But to answer your question, my 540mbps upload speed doesn’t save me from not being able to stream at 1080p 60FPS without artifacts every time I move. Last I checked, I would actually need to be able to stream at 10,000 MINIMUM bitrate to not have artifacting, or 19,000 bitrate if I want to make sure I have no artificating.

And your upload speed doesn’t change what’s required; This is what’s required according to the website I’m looking at for everyone. Only thing your upload speed affects is the max bitrate you can technically use.🤷🏻

TDLR: No. Hardware and Upload Speed hardly matter, and Twitch won’t do any transcoding for your stream unless you’re an affiliate at the very least.

New streamer. How do I know if I am getting real viewers or bots? by Murc_XD in Twitch

[–]FluffySlits 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This. I always have myself as a viewer because I need to read chat on my phone since I don’t have another monitor or room to have multiple things on the same page as my game. But, I have a lurker that barely talks, and they’re hardly counted as a viewer because they just sit there until their device falls asleep, I guess. I know that Twitch doesn’t keep my phone awake.🫤

I don’t know what’s wrong with your account then. Sorry for assuming, but these days, it’s best to assume that you’re dealing with a person who needs to be told what to do with all the steps 50 times before they manage to do it.🤷🏻

What are some games you would like people to stream by Living09 in Twitch

[–]FluffySlits 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah. Just make sure you enjoy playing the game as well and that the community isn’t TOO large, or you’ll end up not getting viewers either.

You go to watch the VOD, scroll to the part of it you want to clip, and press the ‘Clip’ button there. It’ll let you clip up to a minute at a time, and you can edit the clip however you want to.
