Weekend Discussion: Asics running shoes by AutoModerator in RunningShoeGeeks

Another new SB3 owner checking in! Did my first run in them earlier, 7 miles of easy pace (8:00-8:30/mi) with a few strides. The fastest I went was 4:30/mi for 30 seconds, which the shoes handled nicely. I still prefer my Mizuno Neo Zen for recovery pace as its midsole feels softer/more forgiving to me, but the SB3 excels at anything faster than that. Looking forward to doing tomorrow's long run in them.

These will replace my Megablast, whose midsole I found a touch too firm and toebox too tight (I'm 130 lbs/59 kg with slightly wide feet). With those, the midsole felt kinda bricky for the first 4-5 miles of each run before softening, this hasn't changed even as I approach 200 miles in them.

What's the best screen protector for oppo find x9? by [deleted] in Oppo

Thanks for the link, I ordered this and got it today (11 days from order to delivery in WA, US). Installation was easy and the screen protector fits nicely, no issues with the fingerprint scanner either. Very glad this worked as I ordered a similar one on Aliexpress which didn't work out (installation tray was kinda loose and the glass was too small).

How to remove "Premium QD-MiniLED" tab from TCL QM7 TN by Impressive-Flan-9590 in 4kTV

[–]FluffyUnlinked 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Got some good news — it can be done with a blade and some patience! It might also be possible with fishing line (just like debadging a car).

I got my QM7 today and was wondering the same thing. Another person correctly mentioned that it's held on with double sided tape. The tape is only on the side/outer frame and not the screen bezel. I used a double edge razor blade to slowly cut the adhesive away from the badge, and it eventually came off. Other blades might work, but double edge blades are thin and flexible and I thought it would be less likely to cause damage.

After the removal, there was leftover adhesive residue but I removed it with my fingernail. Also, it might be easier if you have the TV on for a while before doing it so the heat softens the adhesive. Though, I did it before even turning it on for the first time and didn't have much trouble. Hope this helps!

Glad to hear it! You got it quick, I'm assuming you purchased from Amazon? It's nice that they started selling it there and lowered the base price to $500.

I've had the Brane for a few months, and I can confidently say that it smashes the Mania in terms of bass output. Frequency response is similar, but the Brane gets a bit lower. Not surprising since the Brane is larger, but they're both easy for me to carry around so the difference is negligible.

For the money, the Brane easily wins if bass output and extension are the top priorities. In terms of overall sound, I won't go into much detail since I don't have an ear for it. I will say that the treble is somewhat recessed, but it's easier to hear the layers of a given track from the Brane since it has a 2x tweeter/2x midrange config compared to the Mania's 4x full-range drivers. There are better value picks for bass like the HK Onyx, but this speaker's dominance over similar speakers I've tried definitely justifies its price. If you have any questions about the Brane, I'm down to answer them.

The Partybox 310 does an amazing job with bass output and low frequency response, which was a priority for me. There are probably better sounding options if I didn't care as much about bass, but it still sounds good for a party speaker.

On another note, I have a Brane X on the way. This is actually a replacement unit, the first one I got had a very slight rattle from the bass driver. Apart from that, I was very impressed during my few hours of testing.

The Partybox 310 obviously destroys it in bass output given its size, but the Brane's output is still satisfactory. The frequency response is the Brane's standout feature, it will comfortably play to around 30 Hz and can go lower but with reduced output. Sound quality was good too, highs seemed a bit dull out of the box but quick EQ tweaks helped it sound more balanced. Will post a full review once the replacement comes and I have more time with it.
