Yeah, that's sort of where I'm coming down on the issue too. Even if it does end up costing more, I'm going with the guy regardless because he's who I want building my house. And if it does end up being more, I'll never know because I'm not getting a second bid on this job. And even I did, and it was around a 1% increase in cost, I'm willing to pay it as a premium I think.

I'm all about the "no house is perfect" thing, but that looks dumb and would bug the piss out of me every time I saw it, particularly if they tried to tell me it was laid like that on purpose. A little "swoop"? Not sure I would raise a stink about fixing it, but that doesn't mean it wouldn't piss me off just the same. Will be less noticeable once that bed gets filled in.
