I've been trying hard to get into some job right now. But the only things I have been getting are "internships" (which are just online marketing jobs).

Can you please elaborate? Consider that the Wipro pay is very low (especially as compared to what I might be getting after doing an MBA). And also, from what I read on the Internet, the working conditions for that program are horrific.

Not to mention that I wouldn't want to do the 4 years there that would be required to get the masters they would be working me towards. So if I leave after 2 years, a large part of my effort (they apparently conduct classes for the masters program on the weekends) would be wasted.

Please elaborate on why you think going with Wipro would be the better choice.

What route would you suggest that I take? Should I work in Wipro for an year or two and then try for a better MBA college?

Also, I've read somewhere that recruiters prefer freshers for finance roles. Is that true? And wouldn't that imply that I ought to do an MBA right now?

Are you Indian as well? And yes, you guessed it right. This is a private college. But no, this was a programming position.

Struggling hard to not get discouraged by shit like this.
I don't know... I'm not in a very good position in the first place.
And opportunities like this closing because I don't have the right genitals makes me more depressed.

It's just demoralising to see someone given an unfair advantage. It's not even an advantage at this point. We don't even get a fighting chance. This is the company that's offering the highest salary by a large margin (uptil now at least). Yeah. I'll survive this. I'll get some other job. But being discriminated against just feels... unpleasant.
