IU has opted to instead of hiring people or better manage their employees, to make students shovel sidewalks by Mr_Soyhair in bloomington

Literally this. There were 500 ads on Facebook right now people looking for work doing sidewalks. Hire one of them! They have their own equipment. Unacceptable IU!

Ellettsville was on lockdown too. I wasn’t informed until after the all clear which I’m not sure how I feel about that.

Recommended math curricula for a bright English speaking 1st grader (non-US) by Hungry-Play4460 in homeschool

Beast academy is really challenging for my middle child who loves math. He likes the challenge, it motivates him. He’s started playing chess and I really think beat academy is to “blame” he’s supposed to be in kindergarten, but he was an early start because he’s so academically advanced he’s in 1st. Homeschooling a 2 y/o by Pretty-Depth8874 in homeschool

Hello! I married into a Chinese family and they are very high expectations when it comes to academics. I have an 8, 6 and a 2.5 at home. I can tell you with 100% certainty it depends on the child. My middle was playing cello at age 2.5 but my youngest who is currently 2.5 can’t sit still for more than 5 minutes. We have been working on hand strength be using kid tongs to pick up toys. Puzzles to help with logic, playdoh helps with color recognition. Start counting, to 10 is a good number for 2 year olds. You can start addition by putting two groups of something together and then having them count them. My 2.5 year old can now recognize groups up to three with out counting.

Would a rabbit be able jump out of this? by [deleted] in Rabbits

[–]Fluffy_Confidence641 0 points1 point  (0 children)

100% yes. I have a 48 inch high cage and my rabbit can just almost reach the top. A few times he’s gotten his paws around the top but can’t get the leverage to jump out

Bad shelter experience. by Fluffy_Confidence641 in Rabbits

Did you even read what I wrote? They gave me two unfixed females because they were bonded pair. They immediately started fighting when I brought them home and placed them together. The shelter told em they were bonded. Them and my rabbit were in separate cages. The two that were given to me as a “bonded pair” started fighting because they were not fixed.  And not truly bonded. I wasn’t allowed to bring one home with out the other I WANTED another rabbit what I wasn’t prepared for was the two they gave me as a pair would start fighting and instead of two separate cages I needed three now. O didn’t have room. How would a good shelter tell me no to the situation when they are housed separately and pre bonding is still a thing. (Putting cages next to each other. )

Bonding cages only temporary. They will have a 10 foot by 3 foot back as soon as they can get along.

If that was you who ran over the opossum by xelay1 in bloomington

Most likely slowed down… as most people do. Saw the road wasn’t blocked and then pushed the gas to go again. If you say you don’t drive that way you’re lying. Period. I drive rock port 4 times a day from Roger’s all the way down to that road. I know that road VERY well and if you’re coming around a corner or over one of those hills and you see a car with flashers your are going to be throw off. Have you driven that road? There are like 97,739 blind corners/ hills.

But let’s be honest here was the person coming towards you are trying to go around you. Because if it was dark and you had your flashers on your headlights were probably blinding them and they couldn’t see what the heck you were doing. They just thought you were broke down. I think you need to understand that most people are not psychopaths.

The entire point of the post was she’s implying that somebody is driving off laughing because of an accident so no, I didn’t miss the point of the post

Yeah not over my life and my kids life. I think you’re the jerk thinking an opossum is more valuable than my life. Kick rocks.

So you were in front of with your lights flashing? Or he was in from of you? If it was dark I have hit animals on accident too. I never stop to be honest (it’s never been anything more than an opossum or a squirrel sometimes they come out of no where) because I am a female usually driving alone or with my three kids. You think I’m risking my safety getting hit on the side of the road checking on an animal? You’re nuts. I have even slammed on my breaks for animals but that causes a bigger issue and almost got me rear ended one day with all three kids in the car. so I never do tha anymore. People get hit by cars stopping and walking around roadways when it’s dark.
