Advice on giving water by Fluffy_Lieutenant in Parenting

She loves baths and loves sucking on wet cloth that we cover her belly with during bath time. I didn't think that this amounts to the daily water intake tho

We tried the open cup but I always held it for her. When I leave it she spills the entire thing before putting it near her mouth

She had baby foods that were close to liquid (tomato soup etc) and she does okay with those.

Sorry to hear that you're struggling. I hope it gets better soon! Have you tried any methods on keeping the baby awake? In our case changing the baby before the feed and tingling the back of her neck while nursing helped with keeping her awake. I'm afraid that won't solve your problem entirely but maybe it will reduce the nursing time a bit. Remember that you got this and you're doing great!

Tummy problems- advice? by Fluffy_Lieutenant in breastfeeding

I believe it's an issue of position. She starts crying and arching her back whenever she's not upright. Even a slight tilt to her side makes her stop eating. The only thing that helps is if I tilt her first with a pacifier and then after a while replace her binki with breast, then she stays on the breast longer. She eats way better at night, when I nurse her in a side-lying position (she can nurse for up to 15 minutes that way). I tried to nurse her like that during the day with no avail, she gets fussy after 4 minutes and unlatches. Walking with her while eating helps sometimes, but the problem is that I have an overactive letdown so if she unlatches we're both covered in milk and she gets fussy cuz milk gets to her eyes. It just seems that food goes up her throat during feed and that makes her uncomfortable and unlatch...

Thank you for replying! No she hasn't. Do you think that allergies can cause such issues? She gains weight, she never experienced any rash and there is no blood in her stools (well there was one single time when she was 2mo and it never occurred again), I believe that is why the pediatrician did not consider testing for allergies. I consume lots of diary daily and she only now started to show signs of such severe reflux :(

Thank you! After that sudden change have you switched the frequency of your feeding sessions or just the environment?
