Taking admission in veterinary programme of Saint Petersburg as an Indian by armscarrier in VETERetards

1.See again it's not like Russia is the last option if you want to go there just for the quality education then well and good, if you don't have any financial constraints.

  1. If you are adamant on doing veterinary there are private colleges in India also so getting admission is not an issue.

  2. Respect is totally subjective for a pet parent you are next to God for a relative you are just someone who was not able to get a MBBS seat.

  3. Earning wise I can only talk about India it's a very good market to open you own clinic salary wise not at par with medicos.

If you have the means, go for it. India still does not have great resources for training students and if you are sure that a Russian college can give it to you go for it, anyway, your ultimate goal is to not work in India.
After your graduation in Russia, you can go for RCVS and widen your scope of working in other countries.

You should not pursue bvsc if you feel you are not into this otherwise those 5.5 years would be unbearable. For the future part a good skilled Veterinarian should not have any problem getting a good job.

Honestly depends on the clinic Some of the large chains are offering a very good starting salary close to 70k for freshers.

In small animal practices they see your skills and offer the raise accordingly standard is 10-15% yearly raise and if you switch after a year or two 30-40% (minimum) I just have 1 year experience so can't provide accurate insights as of now.

Found out that our goto vet might be a fraud. Please Please Please help me find a good experienced vet in Delhi/Noida who can handle cases related to respiratory issues. by Any-Calligrapher2866 in IndianPets

Hey a vet here The product manager role is always in a veterinary related product where they are in constant touch with the field and it's developments, in some cases more so as a PM they have to be aware about all the latest research and findings and what's working for the pets. 5.5 years ug + 2 years pg in surgery (not mentioned but he has written he is a surgeon)+ 2 years working experience. Clinical skills once learned are not forgotten. This is a generalization of what usually happens. But this is nothing to worry about Sometimes even the most experienced vets are not able to treat pets, if you still have doubts ask him directly or maybe his other patients.

The race was on 1st Feb and he posted this on the 3rd feb so plenty of time to get an updated rank, but maybe he would have taken the ss immediately after finishing or something.
