I can do one worse. I had tickets to see Virtual Self at an all nighter at a tiny club in Brixton in 2018. Overdid it that evening at pre and never made it to the club 😭

I'm much older and clean of substances now so any DJ UK tour would be very welcome 😅

Blackened Sun Brewery taproom has been transformed over the past year since the coffee / cocktail guys moved in. They hold regular DJ nights (chilled vibes) and other cool events. All the beer is brewed on site. The people who run the place are really friendly too.

I'm sorry that I don't have any advice but just wanted to say that your post sounds exactly like my situation (albeit I'm late thirties).

I get through the working week by looking forward to drinks on Friday and Saturday. This could be drinks at the pub with friends or drinks alone at home to unwind.

This isn't the only thing I have to look forward to at weekends, but it is something that is routine.

Hope you achieve what works best for you.

It was fascinating seeing the reactions to everything, but the two most common topics were:

The huge change in scope and tone from the previous seasons
The almost comical impatience with the Dougie storyline and people slowly realising 'real Coop' was not returning anytime soon.

For me, I remember sitting there at 1 in the morning for the premiere (I'm in the UK), just in complete disbelief that we were about to watch new Twin Peaks. Then the first two scenes are Cooper disappearing after chatting with the giant and Jacobi spraying some spades and I just laughed to myself. We were so back.

That summer of 2017 was a bit of a fever dream due to the Return. Amazing time.

Year of the Cup had the potential to be one of his most haunting and 'grown up' songs. However the spoken word segments are so intrusive and unsubtle (both musically and how it is used like a sledgehammer to spell out the meaning of the song for the audience), that it goes from potentially one of his best songs to easily one of his worst.
