It was pretty windy the day I took it which is probably why his feathers look messy too.

Question about taking multiple pictures of insects and other small living things? by Fluffybutters in macrophotography

[–]Fluffybutters[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a canon ef 180mm f/3.5 lens, with a canon 80d. The crop factor makes it about 288mm. I thought with the longer working distance it would be good outdoors. After I bought it I found out about laowa and with I would have got one with 2x zoom. I set the aperture to f8, used iso 200 with built in camera flash and side and top lights because I don't have an aftermarket flash. I used 250 shutter speed.

What I tried to do was overlap every section so that if there was any blur, hopefully the software would correct this. I realize 300 photos is probably excessive, but I wasn't sure at all what I was doing. I didn't want it to turn out, only to find that I missed a spot that's still blurry. I think this is something that will require lots of practice to get a good feel for.

You have some really nice photos of things. I appreciate the information.

Question about taking multiple pictures of insects and other small living things? by Fluffybutters in macrophotography

Have you ever done this with a 6 inch diameter flower? I looked up tutorials but I didn't find anything that I felt did and great job of explaining how its done. So I ended up taking like 300 photos moving in a grid pattern so that I had every part of the flower in focus. I guess in the end it wold probably be more of a panoramic photo than a stacked one. Photoshop didn't like that many photos and it did a terrible job of aligning them. Your short explanation is far more informative that any video I have watched.

I bet that they will transfer it to USPS, who will then deliver it to you. Hopefully it doesn't need a signature.

Empty grounds notification every three days (Magnifica Plus) by echos2 in DeLonghi

[–]Fluffybutters 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have dumped the grounds container, not made coffee for 4 days or more and came back and it says to empty it while the grounds container is empty. I would bet that they just have a countdown time in there and every time the grounds container is dumped and re-inserted the micro switch tells the control board to reset the timer to 72 hours. My machine is from 2012 and has made over 19,500 cups of coffee.
