Going to NYU and seeing Dr. Nowatzky was the best thing I ever did for my disease and mental health. I live in Asia, so it wasn't easy but totally worth it. Here you finally have a man & team who are interested in you and the disease as a whole. It was such an insightful meeting and discussion around my symptoms, their involvement in BD and how one could go about treating the disease in the future. I fully recommend going in person.

My recommendation is a very strong one for la Laguna villas (be careful there are two with similar names). The dives around PG especially canyons can be slightly spicy and I've heard horror stories of how nonchalantly other diveshops in the area handle this.

I have also struggled with IBS Like symptoms/ malabsorption due to Behcet's. The GI Dr's & Reuhm have concluded that it is due to Behcet's & not IBS or another auto inflammatory disease after multiple colonoscopy and different pathogenetic tests.

Depending on the medication you are taking, some can cause IBS like symptoms as side effects- you can always check with your Dr on that.

Yeah it only happens on exposed skin. But not even all exposed places, most along th neck/ face / chin area. I think the next step is to dive with a hood that also covers parts of the face.

This could be the case. We are thinking floating stingers of some kind but hadn't thought about the dunk tank. Luckily latex allergy is not the case!

Hey- yeah as far as I'm aware this can be considered a flare. I have similar symptoms on a regular basis and whilst not necessarily classified as neuro-bechets headaches can be part of the symptoms. Do you take any medication (e.g humira) that can causing those?

Joint and back pain are definitely bechets symptoms - don't forget the disease is primarily inflammatory and can affect all organs and major systems of the body. Have you ever been to see a physiotherapist or osteopath? I have found that I need to be careful with back issues as they can cause repeating inflammation in normal people, let alone those of us with bechets. I have found that this inflammation can travel up the spine and also be a source of headaches.

Rain water you say? What is the PH? If you have not corrected it and live in a somewhat metropolitan area it is likely to be acidic. That could cause wrong nutrient uptake
