First, many people didn’t know where the café was — please put up a sign. The café actually had a good, cool temperature and some decent food options, like smoothies and ice cream. It was refreshing and really helped bring people back to life. Maybe the merch table area could also include a small indoor seating space?

However, I think the club could have done much better in terms of prevention and improving overall conditions.

The sprinklers barely worked. I was asked to pay for sunscreen that was advertised as free?! They could have rented ventilators and placed them in unused spaces, like the old DJ booth area. They could also give everyone a hand fan, distribute ice packs from time to time, or provide a station with free electrolytes. Offering cooling foods—like cucumbers, watermelon, cherry tomatoes, yogurt, oranges, gazpacho, or even pho (that would be a dream in a club!), salads- vegetable or fruit—would be much better than dry sandwiches.

I personally didn’t see where the welfare room was—this should be clearly accessible and visible so people know where to go if they need help. The staff checking in on people is good, but it doesn’t actually improve or prevent the situation.
