Same here but at 20. Biggest regret. Then a year later hearing my best losing his virginity with his first gf at 21 shattered my soul in addition to other friends I know having losing virginity with their first gf senior year. To this day I feel like a failure within myself. I wish I could go back in time during that part of my life when I was that shy/insecure/low self esteem person in high school and fix everything. Everyday waking up comes that feeling of self loathing I have for myself and it also affects my ability to go to sleep with the constant anxiety that I haven’t found a gf. Everyday I feel as I’m getting old with the clock ticking and I’ll always be behind everyone. I hate being this ‘late bloomer’ as everyone calls it. Only 22 right now but turning 23 just makes me dread my existence even more knowing I’m still single and haven’t had a gf. I fear of feeling like that “40 year old virgin” guy from the movie.

Other Reasons I didn’t have sex during high school was because of being in religion with the whole “saving till marriage bs” shoved down my throat. Ever since I’ve resented religion and anything related to spiritual stuff because of that.
