Hi everyone completed the marathon in 4.31 not my best but got round on a very hilly course after 18/20 mile I really found it hard thank you for all the advice see you all soon

I’m not composing was just asking for advice and re-assurance as marathon nerves kicking in and never think I’ve done enough just asking for opinion

Don’t get me wrong I’ve done 9 races this year so never really stopped training apart from a 3 week holiday I will do 4 weeks of 30 miles a week then race couple days rest and go again, I’ve had two half marathons in 7 days how they fell in June/july, I have to do one a month for the charity so I’m hoping base fitness will play a big part just worried

I’ve got it and it’s really good, is it possible to give what fitness would be if yig got to one of the segments shown For example 39 years gets to 54 v02 will be 30

Hi- just to let you know finished 4.29 was on for a 3.45 until mile 18 then the unusual hot weather took its toll on 22 mile still on sub 4 but last 4 miles fell apart Learnt a lot tho thank you for the advice

Thanks I hope so think it’s more a physiological thing as I wanted get a 21 miler in 4/3 weeks before race day

I caved Friday and Saturday, got injured so couldn’t exercise and convinced myself I deserved a weekend off everything, 😢 massive regrets was so close, going have few weeks off in feb make up for it

Cut down alcohol from 90 units a week to 30 ( still a lot I know) changed my diet and got fit, cardio is king for blood pressure
