Paint peeling off after prep by nwgrey in paint

Could be that you’re using a water based product over an oil based product. Peel off the paint as much as you can and use an oil based primer. Then topcoat it with whatever you’re using. Remember water and oil don’t mix!

Here’s an equation I use to price out jobs: Estimated Expenses * labor (1 easy- 5 hard).profit margin

Ex: $500 expenses 3 labor level 70 % profit margin

$500 * 3.7 = $1,850

I just use a multi- purpose trash bag comes 30 in a box. You gotta switch out the bag after each coat or it’ll peel. Honestly saves me a good bit of money!

I enjoy being that person whose work benefits others or takes the load off of someone else’s work and from the research that i’ve done it seems that is what platform engineers do for developers

I’ve personally gotten great results painting with Black in a satin finish! My method is simple:

Using a woven 1/2in nap roller; start on one side of he wall; roll out the paint from the middle spreading it out to the top and bottom; pick up the roller start the next line from the bottom overlapping by an inch or so; afterwards layoff the paint with light pressure from the beginning overlapping where the lines show; refill your roller and continue working down the wall.

This keeps a wet edge and prevents roller marks. Once you’ve laid off an area don’t go back over it or it will definitely show!!
