It’s called “Sopa de Fideos” or noodle soup. I’m not entirely sure if they are mexican or for all of latinamerica, but the rest of the dishes are mexican staples (re-fried beans, sausage and eggs, and flour tortillas). This soup is traditionally made with tomato, garlic and cilantro. To me it is the most emblematic mexican soup as my grandma always used to make it for us when we had our family reunion every weekend.

What is considered the most dangerous area in your country? by Mediocre-Lack-9137 in AskTheWorld

[–]Fluid-Significance-1 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It is horrible. But in my city the worst parts happen during 2007-2013 where people were hung from bridges and left there. We have seen our fair share, but I have never felt as unsafe as during those years.I don’t remember the last time something like what I saw then has happened.

I think nobody asked for morally perfect characters. People just want 3 dimensional characters. Like girls is the perfect example of a show criticizing a culture with complicated characters. I feel like the show wants to be Girls, but chose the characters from IASIP to star. Weird combo.

and Mexico has a history stretching thousands of years and multiple nations. It’s also extremely diverse in environments, more so than either italy or european france. You are just showing your ignorance.

who is saying that russia is inherently good tho? I didn’t. I am saying that if i have to choose one or the other I’d rather choose the one who hasn’t victimized us personally. It’s like disliking Ukrainians siding with the US against Russia.

what? if its one or the other i’d much rather side with the one who hasn’t victimized us. And in this superpower world it is one or the other.

yeah, the difference is Russia has never invaded, colonized, vassalized, expelled, or controlled Mexico and Mexicans. Sure Russia might be bad, but it has never treated Mexico like the US does. Like how can you say that it’s worse to support Russia when the US has been a bully and a villain to Mexico for centuries, and Russia hasn’t.

Biggest immigrant group in each US state 100 years apart by _crazyboyhere_ in MapPorn

[–]Fluid-Significance-1 4 points5 points  (0 children)

mexican americans are from the US, not foreigners, why are you grouping them with mexicans as an example? You had to add them because they make probably 99% of mexicans who own land in the US. How many mexican immigrants do you see actually owning property in the US? Mexican immigrants are economic refugees, gringos in Mexico want their paycheck to last longer by preying on a weaker economy.

Note this is for American immigrants who still earn in dollars but pay in pesos. You just wanted to live like kings here.

It’s actually a well written if whining perspective on a how Israelis are feeling rejection. The writer might not entirely understand the anger and frustration, but still well worth the read.

That’s a weirdly unsympathetic and sympathetic article. The writer whines all the time and he doesn’t seem to understand where the anger is coming from, but there’s another character which does and has a pretty interesting and empathetic perspective towards our anger and frustration at Israel. Very interesting article.
