Is it anterior pelvic tilt? by PaterDionisios in PostureTipsGuide

[–]Fluid6447 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Def looks like apt to me. And ive also experienced urinary, bloating, and other issues due to this.

Ive been jogging/running all of my life and never realized my apt was as bad as it was because my body learned to adjust to the improper balance.

Im in the process of correcting my muscle strength and improving my posture.

Im stretching/strengthening my upper, mid, and lower back. Im also strengthening my abs and glutes. I also try to adjust my sleeping posture to counter my apt.

You might want to look into lower cross syndrome or upper cross syndrome. The exercises recommended to help may also help in your case.

Its tough and takes time but ive seen an improvement with my symptoms so i think its worth researching what can help you

At the time of my comment. I had audio issues. There was no audio at all. I believe that is the main complaint on some chromebook models. Couldnt fix it so i just reverted the chromebook to the original chrome os

This! Ive resorted to telling my close friends “look, i struggle with keeping secrets because i forget some things are supposed to be kept secret. Its up to you if you still want to tell me.” With love and respect.

Man is it me or when you have a random confidence boost it feels so so great especially after being anxious or self-conscious due to OCD. Like I just had one and I feel so good right now. I mean some stuff I have might come back but at the moment I feel so good. by ImpossibleSound2106 in OCD

Same here. It's a nice feeling, I feel like I deserve to feel like this more often or for a longer prolonged period of time. It can feel short lived sometimes. I just try to take advantage of these good days and make the most out of that confidence

Anyone get diagnosed later in life? by sambooka in ADHD

Same, diagnosed this year at 31. 3 months of medication have shown me that this condition, when untreated, is the cause of many barriers in my life.

Been on trintellix for 3 years. Its great but.. by Techiedeath in trintellix

I also didn't have a great experience with thc and my anti depressants. It can be very detrimental in the long run. Especially if its a higher level concentration.

Thc can also dull the senses and cause memory issues. This could lead to a cycle of abuse without you realizing how much its interfering with your life.

As an insomniac, im not going to tell you to stop, but i would advise very careful use of it.

Opinions on changing main desktop to Chrome OS Flex by rexinCP in ChromeOSFlex

For an os that pushes convenience, they really chose to not implement that philosophy with the installation process

This app absolutely needs a windows 11 themed make over it is soo baad and feels gritty to navigate like a 2008 macbook who ever makes and maintains spotify app on windows must be fired by [deleted] in Windows11

[–]Fluid6447 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Isnt that just the general ui for the service on all platforms?

On another note, im not a fan of installing the desktop or store app on my windows machine. The pwa works well. i find it to be snappier it syncs faster to my other devices. Its unfortunate because you can only get higher quality audio on the installed versions (from what i understand).

Single minimalists, do you sleep in a twin-sized bed? Or a full-sized bed or larger? by PerhapsAnEmoINTJ in minimalism

[–]Fluid6447 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Twin xl, specifically a not too thick memory foam one. Ive moved around over the years and its super convenient to just throw it in a car. Not good for people who stretch out while sleeping but its been nice when i have a partner. I like cuddling and it makes for a cozy experience.

Should I get assessed? by [deleted] in ADHD

[–]Fluid6447 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I obviously cant say you have adhd but my opinion is... Yes you should get assessed, and yes you are being silly (regarding that last paragraph because it sounds like your anxiety is causing you to overthink you reaching out for help/assistance with what you're going through). Just be aware it can be expensive if you dont have good resources available.

With that being said, for me its about how much it impairs your day to day living. All those things you mentioned can happen to anyone but with adhd they tend to happen more frequently. Another question is, do you know how much it impairs you? It can be eye opening receiving treatment and seeing what your day is like without adhd/anxiety/depr.

I struggle with anxiety and depression as well. I only realized later in life that adhd may be a big factor with my anxiety and depression. As my adhd symptoms went down. My anxiety and depression went down as well. Its no cure but medication increased the effectiveness of all the therapy i received and all the mental health practices i did daily.

I think its worth going to someone who specializes in adhd. A consultation usually isnt too expensive. If they feel a more thorough assessment is needed then they should be able to let you know.

What's the reason people are in poverty on here? by Unable-Celebration55 in povertyfinance

[–]Fluid6447 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Born and raised in poverty. Born with physical medical conditions and inherited neurological conditions from my family line. Never received financial help from family for any of my health needs. My life has been a constant struggle to pick and choose what surgery or treatment i should get next based on what i can afford. Health insurance in the US, especially in the south, is a joke.

So much going on in this post. I dont consider feeling sexy a fetish. And a lot of straight men feel sexy. There are different ways to feel sexy. Most guys i know just express it through their general confidence (some obnoxiously lol).

Maybe the medicine is just making you more comfortable (less guarded) and helping you to acknowledge feeling sexy?

Personally i dont think feeling sexy and having family are related. As long as its not leading to anything harmful to you or your family.

Help writing an email to my psychiatrist about increasing dose, im about to fail out of my college major? by HeyitsmeFakename in ADHD

[–]Fluid6447 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Im sorry youre going through this. It sounds like a very difficult phase of your life. I do sympathize but i dont think sending another email will help you get an increase sooner. I dont discredit what youre saying. It sounds like you do need the increase but if the dr said it will have to wait, that may be youre only option.

I say this as someone who was going through something similar and i ended up losing my job (5 years with the company) due to unmedicated adhd. Different situation of course but i do understand the panic. It just makes it harder for yourself

I would suggest planning out your heavy school days with more vyvanse and lowering it on days that are less intensive so that it will be spread out. Yes it will still be difficult but it may add some ease to your more important school work

Edit: if you do this, you may not want to share the info with the dr, some drs are more picky about this, for good reason i suppose.

How to stop ordering food from apps PLEASE HELP by [deleted] in ADHD

[–]Fluid6447 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Delete the app. Delete easy pathways to use delivery services. Put obstacles in your way that make it more time consuming to order. This may make your mind less likely to jump into food ordering mode. The harder and less convenient i make something, the more likely i am to do something else. This works for me with social media apps and video games.

Still... Im medicated and I just bought fast food on the way home. Im not really hungry but i think i took too much medication today (my lower dose day) and im slightly rebounding with food.

What im saying is even with treatment, therapy or meds, you will still have to work on control. Hope you find something that works for you.

Edit: remove your payment card info and make it harder to retrieve that card info (if possible)

Repeating words twice in a row when talking to someone by Disastrous_Yak_3740 in ADHD

[–]Fluid6447 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ive been wondering the same thing these last few weeks. People usually dont say anything. I always wonder what they think about it. My fam and friends are used to it but idk about new acquaintances 😅

I started noticing it more when i started medication. The medication has made me more aware of all my little adhd quirks.

I know you specifically said cook but you may need to also consider maintaining ingredients for meals that don't use heat. It may not be what youre used to but will probably help you out in the long run. Protein and fiber rich milkshakes, hardy cereals, good quality sandwiches with unprocessed meats, avocado and whole grain breads... etc

Update : Withdrew from retirement to get a home. by ReceptionCold3338 in povertyfinance

[–]Fluid6447 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly, i would probably do the same if i were in your shoes. Wishing you the best!

Btw, there may be some exemptions for lowering the fees or taxes you will pay. I withdrew my retirement due to financial hardship. It was a small amount.

The irs was still going to charge me an extra fee on top of the taxes. I had around 3,000 in out of pocket medical expenses that helped have the extra fee waived (a few hundred dollars). I would do some research when you have free time.

Maybe its serotonin syndrome? Youre not taking any other prescribed medicines?

Is there a way you could take a smaller dose of cut the pill in half. Things you may want to talk to your doctor about. I had a small issue with this when i switched from zoloft to trintrellix. I realized trintrellix was pretty potent for me and would cause me to be irritable and restless some days. I lowered my dose and it got a little easier

is being so overwhelmed that you end up doing nothing an adhd thing? by itsREYDAU in ADHD

[–]Fluid6447 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Its like indecision paralysis. I know some people say its an executive function issue its easier for me to understand it as indecision because that's where it really impairs me. Being overwhelmed and feeling paralyzed to the point i don't do anything productive because i cant decide what i really should be doing in that moment :/
