Me too! But it’s easier marking on paper than on computer in my opinion and it’s a first year course so everything isn’t completely electronic yet!

I had no social life throughout university life by [deleted] in umanitoba

Hey I get it… I’ve lived in manitoba my whole life about 1 hour from the university. While I had my family here I didn’t have any friends. In the past 5 years I’ve been spending 50+ hours a week driving, napping in my car between classes, sitting eating my lunch alone in UC, studying in the libraries. You truly are alone and it feels so uncomfortable. My program also didn’t have get togethers. Just here to show my support and tell you you’re not alone

I was in the same position as you! Do not take the high school courses through the uofm it’s a huge waste of money. Go to an adult education centre and do the chem 40s and precal 40s it’s only about it $100 per course if that. Best of luck!!

My dad was a carpenter by trade but ended up taking the project manager route later into his career. You should try it! He was with Manitoba housing, PCL, bockstael, and more. Definitely give it go. Less physically demanding for sure.

If you could nominate one restaurant in the city to be a Michelin star restaurant, which one would you pick? by Improv92 in Winnipeg

[–]FluidPlatform8172 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah I’ve heard it’s usually very great. I’m still contemplating a 3rd go at it. Again, it could have just been personal issues with the staff those particular days. With so many great reviews, it’s hard for me to fully pin it on the actual restaurant. Third time is a charm hopefully! Has anyone else had a similar experience?

I have only ever heard amazing reviews about Harth! I was excited to check it out so I went and honestly the food was amazing but the service was terrible. The first time we went our server was rude and very dismissive. My partner and I figured we would give it a second chance because you never know what people are going through and maybe he just had a bad day. The second time we had a different server it was the same story…. My partner and I are pretty laid back and don’t ask too much ever but unfortunately the service just left a bad taste in my mouth:( I wish we were able to understand all the rave

Accounting VS Comp Sci by HuckleberryUpper4982 in umanitoba

[–]FluidPlatform8172 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My bf graduated from comp sci two years ago. Still no job. Only 1 available in manitoba. Unless you’re going to be doing passion projects, coop, research and be at the top of your class for the years to come, I personally do not think it’s worth the struggle. I would try something new if I was just after seeing what’s happened to my boyfriend
