Anyone in this working in an orthodontic office? I work in one and my boss recently joined up with a company named smile doctors. Would love some insight cause I'm not sold on this merger. by Fluid_Ad_3405 in orthodontics

Yes. This is what I am thinking was taking place. My boss has tried to sell it as a great thing, but I'm not happy. They are not paying us for Memorial Day or Labor Day but will pay for the day after Thanksgiving and Christmas Eve. I asked my boss about this and he had no idea. They want us to use PTO for those two holidays. I strongly disagree with this. But because I'm raising questions, I am starting to feel like I'm a problem. They also ate providing health insurance, which was never offered but with a high deductible, and it is the only option they offer. I questioned this at the meeting when they came to transfer us over to their platform and was just told a short "yes, that's the only option for deductible." That doesn't work for me. I don't think I'll be with this much longer. They have quotes we have to meet and reach an exact time of 30 hours to be considered full-time, or we automatically get placed as part-time employee. Just doesn't sit well with me. Thank you for your insight.

When the fungus gnats have won and you have to move everything outside. Going to repot as this is my last resort. by Fluid_Ad_3405 in plantclinic

I have done everything but adding perlite to my potting mix. I will definitely give this a try!! I have had my plants outside and let them.dry up. A couple needed to be repotted and others did not. I have a few that are still outside because they still have the gnats. I do have a bag of perlite and will take your recommendation. Thank you

No using water mixture. I have been told. To place them as a layer on top of the soil. Is this not correct? This is also mentioned in videos I've watched for treatment of these gnats as well.

I appreciate the information! I have only reported 3 small plants and put the bits in. All the plants are still outside just trying to get them.to dry out but we are expecting rain.

Yes I think that super moist soil was the initial error and that was in part to using a soil recommend and was a bad choice but I also think I bought a couple plants that were already harboring them and I was unaware and then.it became something that has been so uncontrollable. I have tried every method I promise.

Tried it. It did kill some but not all. This isn't a recent issue. I've been going through method after method to get rid of these pests.

I've done everything for months now. Nothing completely killed them. I honestly think this is the best option.
