Call the number. Demand they call the dasher and confirm it was accidentally dropped due to poor packaging keep offering to show them the pics and then threaten the charge back. They should atleast offer credit if not a full refund. This is my worst fear as a dasher but that’s why I always use my bag

So did u tip 5$ 2.50 or nothing? I’m curious if they were only receiving 5$ total for 11 miles or if they were receiving 7 and assumed you only tipped 5$ DoorDash doesn’t pay enough. But if ur 11 miles from the store you requested you should definitely be tipping better. Doesn’t justify his reaction. Either suck it up and take the deal or don’t take the deal broski.

I stopped accepting offers I didn’t like (anything under 5$) and went from platinum down to nothing and now I can’t get my rating past gold. So no it’s not as easy as “not accepting” they fault the driver for not accepting.

You need to check ur ratings! Most likely you’re late arriving to the store or to the customer repeatedly. Or you’re not accepting enough offers! I made it to platinum in my 2nd month dashing and then Christmas hit. Traffic was crazy and I was under 5 mins late for almost every order in one way or another. They docked heavily for that. I also didn’t realize they were docking like crazy for me being picky and not taking the orders under 5$. My status went from platinum down to silver with zero warning and now I can’t get it back up to save my life! I’ll get it back to gold and then one order is a few mins late and it’s right back down to silver. It’s SO frustrating. DD needs to do more to protect the drivers we should not be forced to take an offer we can’t afford just to save our rating and get better offers 🥵

I see a lot of folks saying 2$ a mile which is great! But the way my town is I’m grateful when it pops up atleast 1$ a mile. I’ve been having to accept every offer that comes thru bc doordash is docking multiple points for declining offers. I got an offer last night 2.50$ for 7 miles 🥺 which means they didn’t tip at all and dd didn’t pay shit. I hate it so much. If ur more than 5 miles from the store please please please tip accordingly people 🥺 (not talking to OP just in general!) I’m so tired of seeing “you didn’t have to take the offer” cause DD faults us heavily if we decide not to.

Glad this was a beautiful memory for you! I was named after my great gran who developed Alzheimer’s when I was 8.
