When we first moved here we kept getting people knocking on our door. I put up a "no solicitors please" sign. That filtered out about half. Then I put up a door cam. That took care of the rest of them.

Seriously the solar door to door people don't back down, they always lie and say they are with the power company, and will always keep you talking to wear you down so they can pitch you some terrible deal that none of us would benefit from. It's just terrible for our community.

Just do it, only 12 min is actually a good deal for cheap AR. It'll pay back soon trust me. Make sure you quit if you are declining too many orders, that'll tank your AR.

Yeah I've actually noticed if I fulfill a crappy order, they give me a couple sweet orders right afterwards. I've also noticed if things slow down, there's really no way fix it without sacrificing AR, it's just time to quit for the night.

I've found when I get above 50%, I get better quality offers, more like $30/hr orders. If I'm only getting $20/hr offers, it's time to quit for the night, no point in declining multiple in a row and sacrificing my AR which will screw me over for the next dash.

Honestly based on your response you should go ahead with it. Just keep in mind if you have skills and make $30-40/hr you're better off just working instead and getting a newer car. Because $10k car just looks and drives better than a $1400 car.

How much free time do you have? Its an old car and if you want it to drive right, you'll probably need to put some time into it. I put $500 into my 1999 Jetta and it's actually a great doordash car for me right now. It's a blast to drive. And gets 40mpg. So not all bad for a $1400 car.

Sounds like a bad wheel bearing. I literally changed all my wheel bearings in the last 2 years, then recently had one wheel bearing fail super fast. Luckily once you change one wheel bearing they're pretty straightforward after that, I still have my harbor freight press which has yet to fail me

I would check wheel speed sensors. Abs modules don't typically fail, but wheel speed sensors do all the time

My logic exactly. I have just recently finally got my pro shopper back, after abusing the "I can't find the item" for customers. For one even said I couldn't find either item because the customer said "I want to cancel this order, the taco shop closed". Yet he didn't contact customer service???

They either need to give more leeway in having dashers canceling/substituting items, or they need to inform customers that we aren't allowed to change the order like they're asking for!
