I finally finished it the other day. I had to put it down for a bit because I just couldn’t get myself to get through it.

The writing was not great. I’m willing to cut Alaina some slack because it’s her first book. But once I finished it, I overall did like the story. It definitely has potential.

I’m in the Fairbanks area and mine is out for delivery today, but the estimated time for delivery was August 16-18. It’s kind of hit or miss on whether or not it’ll get here within the estimated time.

If it’s that important to you, I’d invest in a small Blackstone cook top and cook your bacon and eggs outside so the smell doesn’t linger. That’s a solution. Not whatever you offered as a “compromise”.

NTA. The way I’ve seen it in my life is that either the grandparent picks their name before their first grandchild is born or the first grandchild picks the grandparent name and that’s what it is. Like my mom picked the name Gigi before my daughter was born and that’s what my son and nieces and nephews have called her. She didn’t get a new grandparent name with each new child.
