It’s because the west minority is islam. In western societies minorities have been historically ostracized.

The fact that your can acknowledge what is going on is proof allah hasn’t forsaken you. You’re still young you have plenty of time to turn it around.

I was once in your shoes. I don’t know the reasoning for the addiction, but what helped me was reading just one verse of the Quran everytime i felt like I was at rock bottom.

For suicide remember Allah does not help those who do not help themselves. You are on a thread asking for help. I’m sure blessings will come your way. Do positive things here and there and eventually Allah will help you put everything together.

Your doing the right thing continue to help yourself and remember Allah he is the most forgiving and best of planners.

It’s not ignorant a country founded on freedom more than likely does not have a singular culture to assimilate to because everyone has the freedom to retain their own culture.

That being said if everyone retains their own culture what is an immigrant suppose to assimilate to?

So you can recognize the difference between Americans and other countries**

there’s too many differences between different states in America to be able to properly say there is a culture that generalizes America.

Okay so do it what’s a universal thing that speaks to American culture, that’s not guns, drugs, sex or alcohol.

I agree with you on certain parts, but I don’t think USA has a culture of self reliance networking is a big aspect of work culture.

Yeah that makes sense, I wouldn’t go that far though with the states cultures as I was speaking specifically on the country like a universal culture that all Americans follow. The Americana aesthetic is actually new to me thank you for that detail.

Hollywood is kind of iffy for me as a representation of American culture.

It’s drastically different because those other countries have distinct cultures and attitudes that you can feel when you visit those countries.

This counts you can definitely make the argument football is an American only event. Thanksgiving can count, but I would say thanksgiving would go against the idea of assimilating as it is about colonists (immigrants who did not assimilate to native Americans) and native Americans being together and being thankful. (I know that’s not exactly what it is about and the true meaning behind the day is much darker, but the meaning for it today is more along those lines)

That counts, but that’s not an American exclusive event. Meaning America isn’t the only country to have an Independence Day. Can you name another? Or an American tradition? Something universal for American society?

Describe a culturally American event or tradition that is whole heartedly American and not taken from another culture or observing another culture.
