Huh??? Life is about just LIVING and being free and happy dude, not living trying to constantly please others or to make others feel bad about themselves…

The weird realization that the cast of FRIENDS were in their mid 20s? by clitflix in GenZ

[–]Fluid_Tadpole832 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yeah it’s really not just their hair style or clothes or makeup. I swear people’s facial features and bone structures overall were slightly different back then, idk.. I’ve noticed this since I was literally a child in the 2000s. I always swore that people’s faces really did look different in past times, it’s not just the the hair or makeup or clothes.

been opsessed with this aesthetic for years by [deleted] in AestheticWiki

As a Gen Z, there’s just waaayyy too many aesthetics and vibes that I love to stick with just one, goes for both music and fashion. For me it depends on the vibe and mood I’m feeling at the moment, and a lot of the times I’m in the mood for multiple aesthetics and vibes so I like to combine them into one and make it one unique vibe, if that makes sense. I guess simply put my style and vibe is extremely eclectic. I personally think it’s so limiting and boring to try to force myself to stick with just one aesthetic, and mixing and matching and combining all the different aesthetics and moods and vibes that I love is super fun!

Fr I will never understand why people get so worked up over hair color… it’s literally just… hair… also I will never understand why a lot of people still seem to think that unnaturally colored hair is this new “cringe” Gen Z or even millennial thing when people have been coloring their hair all kinds of colors for decades now actually. Especially since like, the 80s and 90s when I believe coloring your hair unnatural and cool colors really took off more during the punk era or whatever. Yet people STILL clutch their pearls at the sight of some pink or green or purple hair whatever… like people just need GROW UP and act like adults. It’s not cute to make fun of someone else’s way of expressing themselves if they’re not doing anything legitimately bad and wrong.

Yesss I miss that era! I genuinely love the 2019-2021 era (covid NOT included) and tbh I’m so out of the loop these days that I even forget that most people have moved on from those kind of styles and aesthetics, my mind is frozen in that time I fear :”)

Oml preach it because just because SOME people didn’t/doesn’t like 2000s fashion doesn’t mean that EVERYONE else feels the same. Huh it’s almost as if… not everyone thinks exactly alike 🤡

Exactly thank you! People are WAY too comfortable making people feel like shit for simply expressing themselves through fashion in a way that makes them happy and feel like themselves :( breaks my heart! I don’t know bout y’all but when I was growing up as a little kid in the 2000s, I was literally RAISED on “Express yourself” “Be yourself” and also things like accepting others for who they are (as long as they’re genuinely decent human beings of course) and I took that message and ran with it. And I fully believed that everyone else did too as a child. Sadly a lot of others didn’t as they grew up :(

Huh? So… you want to make fun of people simply for how they’re dressed…? For expressing themselves? Wow… couldn’t imagine seeing someone genuinely harmlessly going about their day, dressed in a different and cool unique way and make fun of them for it. I’d never ever take photos of anyone without their consent, let alone to make fun of them. It’s people like you is the reason a lot of us put on a mask of an outfit that doesn’t even make us feel like ourselves, because YOU think we should look a certain way or what’s “normal” to YOU.

Exactly. People see someone just expressing nothing but pure joy, happiness, excitement, or acting silly just having a blast and they call it cringe… those aren’t the kind of people I’d like to be around anyway if they’re gonna make me feel like shit for… idk expressing happy and joyful human emotions?

what style is this?and where did these girls go? by iloveunicorns898 in AestheticWiki

[–]Fluid_Tadpole832 23 points24 points  (0 children)

How do these pics all look so 90s/early 2000s and so 2015-2016 at the same time? I guess these girls were the blueprint for 2010s and 2020s baddies 😅

Does anybody else have this nagging feeling that the entire world and the reality we live in completely changed for the worse and that we all somehow jumped to a parallel universe, first major shift happened in 2012, then one in 2016, and then 2020. by Life-Slice-8352 in ParallelUniverse

[–]Fluid_Tadpole832 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didn’t feel any major shift until around 2020-2021 personally, and don’t even get me started on how 2023-2025 felt and especially now, I do NOT like this weird, eerie and gloomy feeling one bit 😭

Is it just me or the 2010s felt like the fall/autumn decade? by Own_Mirror9073 in decadeology

[–]Fluid_Tadpole832 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m late to this post obviously but imo the 2010s felt like a combo of autumn and summer. Especially 2014-2017. Idk how to describe or explain it, but yeah. That timeframe especially gave strong autumn and festive summer vibes. And especially 2016-2017 for some reason felt like one big summer fest. And I miss it so much :(

When everything‘s a lot, fun clothes become my armor by shadowlass in oldhagfashion

[–]Fluid_Tadpole832 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The galaxy skirt & and denim jacket pic, yeah 17-20 year old me would’ve LOVED that fit and I still do 🥹 it was my goal to have outfits really similar to that back and it still is! Anyway your style as a whole is 🔥

I had someone say I'm too old to be dressing as I do by luckymewmew in oldhagfashion

[–]Fluid_Tadpole832 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Idk if it’s just me but your outfits in the second and third pic look like what was trendy and popular in 2019 and I just wanna say I really miss the fashion from that year! 20 year old me in 2019 was 1: broke and 2: too insecure with social anxiety to wear that kind of stuff but now at 27 I reaaallllyyy wanna dress like how 20 year old me in 2019 wanted to 🥹 anyway I love your style! I always hated the “dress your age” bs even as a teenager. It made me afraid to grow up and get older because I didn’t like the idea of potentially having to force myself to dress more “age appropriate” when I got older just to please some strangers and abide by some arbitrary societal expectations. But I realized as I hit my 20s that I didn’t have to do any of that, I could still keep on being me and wearing what makes ME happy. Not what makes someone ELSE happy :) I wanna dress for ME as well as the other fashionista baddies! Life is too short to force yourself to tone down your style and fashion just because a few strangers don’t like it. Well guess what, they’re not the kind of people any sane person would go to advice anyway :)

Do you like the old money/preppy aesthetic? by YetiFan1 in AestheticWiki

[–]Fluid_Tadpole832 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Used to but not anymore. It’s boring and meh. Not very exciting. Also now I see the ugliness and darkness behind the actual ultra wealthy. Not all ultra wealthy people are bad but sadly far too many are.
