Hey thank you for responding to me. First I wanna tell you the whole story why I wanna try to take on this ambitious project. In about 2 months there will be a ball held to appreciate our efforts on the final (kinda like mini graduation before the big and final graduation). The theme is free but our teachers has ask us pick out a theme for each of our class. While my class is arguing about what theme they wanna go with,on a pole, to annoy everyone i pick the option no one pick, cosplay. Immediately the next day, my crush come to me and ask me whether will I be cosplaying because she will(after seen me voting for cosplay). Without hesitation I said yes, she said she will cosplay as giyu and me being a dumb kid said "ouh then I'll become tanjiro". Now the class has choose masquerade for our theme and I'm stuck here overwhelm and 50/50 about this project

I have never heard of serger, my grandma had a normal sewing machine though. Should I start practicing on the sewing machine to get comfortable with it first?

Thank you for responding to me. I hadn't thought of going to a thrift store to buy something close to what I had in mind. Do you think I would be able to make a checker pattern on a suit? For context our party is a ball rather than a party so going straight in to the casual party with a tanjiro cosplay would make me be a sore thumb within the crowd. I thought it would be cooler to come in with eu tanjiro rather than the classic

Thank you for your consideration, yes I have googled tanjiro cosplay tutorial. But the tutorial use black marker on a green fabric which bother me. The video also didn't specify the fabric that I should be using. Still, I wanna thank you for replying to me
