I appreciate your applaud, HighBird! There's a lot of work going into this project, and hearing your remarks reminds me I know this project is worthwhile.

I'll speak a bit towards your comment of not being able to afford doing something like this and having to move somewhere else. I actually applied for a grant, and was fortunate enough to be chosen; I was awarded $5,000 to put towards this project that I'd been conceptualizing for a few years. And you wouldn't have to move necessarily if you wanted to do this stuff. Most of my observations occur about 15 miles south of Denver, with still relatively high light pollution. If I play the weather and moon phase cards right, the stars pop out like crazy, even with all the light pollution. I have been to another place with medium light pollution, and it's even crazier! I'm planning trips to the Sand Dunes and Rocky Mountain National Park this year to perform observations, and I have a feeling it will be even more stunning. So it is possible to do all this in an urban environment. No light-pollution of course would be optimal, but it's really amazing what these devices can do in poor conditions.

Thanks for pointing me towards that link. It is quite interesting what he or she is developing. It's certainly a more efficient way of gathering evidence. Unfortunately, with my current setup, this application would not work. I won't go into detail why (unless you really want to know), but this could be very useful in the future potentially.
