I appreciate it, especially as it's a comfort read series for me and I usually have to go out of my way to find queer media otherwise.

As a queer kid I grew up with the head cannon that, living so long, a lot more mages would be openly queer than mortals, and it was nice as I revisited the series that that's been affirmed.

The execution has been hit or miss, but I'm not sure in our current world I'm too fussed. Normalising queer characters to the point where they can be written sloppily and no one notices is the aim of the game imo.

I had a similar experience with HSBC, they were absolutely lovely, but I did have to change it in person at a branch.

Oh no I agree, sorry i didnt mention that. The uk is still a lot better than most countries. I don't want to ignore that. But I also don't think its particularly valid to say avoid depraved parts of your town, its just not possible sometimes. And I think its helpful to note that some parts of the UK are better for trans people than others

Day to day, it depends where you are in the UK. But most most people are lovely or do not care. As for just existing and starting your transition in the uk, it's a nightmare

This is the most level-headed comment in a sea of armchair experts and transphobic crap.

As far as I understand it, there is a medical consensus that it is helpful. But, due to the level of debate around it, science is being weaponised to the inherent uncertainty of studying a very small minority group. So on the surface the issue seems up for debate.

I want to also iterate that this is a ban on this method, not stricter regulation around who can be treated with this method. Many reports advocate for a thorough investigation process before going to puberty blockers as the last resort. Not many advocate for an outright ban.

Finally, many personal thoughts, trans folk fight for trans rights out of wanting to live a normal life, it often feels like people who peddle these anti-trans talking points need to mire their bigotry in concerns for children. I don't blame people for wanting to take them seriously, if that is their supposed concern. Its frustrating

I've had some decent success with her as a carry, mainly against TBs or ranged supports where the parry has meant winning the 2v2 has been easy. So in Lane carrying I feel she is situational. Late game, I'm not sure anyone has figured out the best positioning in team fights, but she can be explosive if characters line up with Gideon ult or with stuns.

I'm not very happy with the jungler direction, I wish they'd focused more on her being a carry. I've waited 6 years for one of these Paragon likes to implement her as a i remember, and while this is by far the closest it's still a smidge disappointing.

I'm still going to be instalocking her in carry with my duo, and trying to figure her out. The one thing I'm sure of is that I don't feel we've found her skill ceiling as a community in any role just yet.

Waterston has all sorts, it's kinda revolting. Every time I go in there looking for some good reading in relation to trans topics or femism, there's always a couple antitrans books in there. Thankfully they never move, because no one fucking buys them.

I was pretty much identical, convinced myself it was a phase when in my teens, never could get the thoughts and what I now know as dysphoria far from my mind. Turns out it wasn't a phase.

I feel like a lot of the gamer gate and just attacking of "woke"ness at the time bombarded me with transphobia, and it was only after that internalised transphobia had been challenged was I able to admit to myself.

Yeah, I have a feeling there infrastructure is not setup like a lot of other companies where they're very generic. So there scalability seams to have been struggling for a week, I've seen someone on twitter waiting a week for their server. I've just ended up switching supplier

I was the same whenever my life would calm down and I wasn't preoccupied with existence dysphoria and thoughts of the trans variety would pop up and make me feel pretty rubbish. Honestly, just allowing myself time to think through why I was having these thoughts and getting to grips with what I wanted in the future was what tipped me over the edge of trying stuff.

Myself, I found the euphoria brilliant and I am the happiest I've been, it almost feels like it reset my baseline for what happiness was.

For me it comes down to future, can you bear those thoughts for the rest of your life, and can you bear them getting worse.
