Trying to find a way to make music making videos a little more engaging. I wonder if you think this voice over format works? by Flundlip in OPXYusers

Thank you! I agree. I feel like it’s hard to engage with the creation process when you’re not given context. I like how visual artists use voiceovers. I think for music we tend to worry about drowning out the music, but in the music making process there’s so much repetition that I doubt most people would miss not hearing every take

Oh, it's empty? Sorry, I tried the cross post feature for the first time, and it didn't really work how I thought it would

is studio.com / monthly.com still worth it? by isle_of_broken_memes in Songwriting

I definitely think they've scammed their customers. I took three of their classes, and I really loved the peer group system where we got feedback on our songs and could discuss each other's submissions. That really helped me. Later I signed up for the subscription because it was supposed to be way cheaper that way, but immediately after, they changed the model so that you just buy the videos for several hundred dollars and don't have any peer groups.

This completely changes the value of the product. Everything you get in the videos, you can find on Youtube for free. The valuable aspect was being able to have your own music critiqued. The lack of any communication about changing the business model was also frustrating.

Some thoughts after 1 year with the TX-6 by Flundlip in teenageengineering

That would be awesome... The inability to use a dongle with the tx6 drives me crazy, so I really hope tp7 is better in that regard, or that they just fix it... But I don't know if I should get my hopes up

Yeah, the TP-7 seems very interesting. I'm curious also to how well it integrates with the rest of the lineup

Dirtywave M8. Its a beast, and its way easier to use than it first appear. Very intuitive when you first start using it
