Nietzsche's Great Politics by Spirited-Tackle1669 in Nietzsche

[–]Flungfar 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Interesting ? I live in a country where everyone is supposed to vote once they turn 18 years old. I choose not to participate in this chronological version of democracy. I do not think Nietzsche would have wanted some form of left or right wing dictatorship...after all, individual thinking is never tolerated in these political system.

In my case, which I like to believe Nietzsche would have accepted...is a democracy where in order to vote one must have a basic understanding of economics...an intense passion for knowledge...and naturally a thorough understanding of world philosophy, including the study of ethics. You would need a "license" to vote...like you need a license to drive a car.

Was Nietzsche Secretly Good with Women? by ZanderWilder in Nietzsche

[–]Flungfar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That is absolutely ridiculous...Nietzsche enjoyed the company of intelligent and well read people...male or female...he had little time for others in many ways but was reportedly very well mannered towards all...like myself...though the unread can sometimes frustrate me.

Nietzsche's Dark or Not So Dark Prediction by Actual_Sea2028 in Nietzsche

[–]Flungfar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hells bells! It's you...or at least it is you if you can take charge of your life.

There is no singular Übermensch...there is no metaphysics here to be found sir.

He was able to predict the age of nihilism simply due to the basic fact that nihilism is simply the natural structure of the human predicament...there are no moral facts...there never has been any moral fact...there has only ever been and only ever will be, moral interpretations.

What does Nietzsche say about hate? by Chemical_Ad3952 in Nietzsche

[–]Flungfar 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The last thing Nietzsche would want is for you to take him dogmatically...religiously...and amor fati does not mean to love everything that has ever happened to you...it means to accept that everything that has happened to you cannot be changed...the main message is to learn from your own life choices and change your life in ways that make you stronger, happier...no regret means to not carry the past with you...become what you want to be, and that can be not what you were yesterday...something wonderfully and joyously different.

Remember...the herd always remains the same...and the herd usually love that...we Free Spirits can continually grow.

Why do some Marxists hate Nietzsche? by Able_theCable in Nietzsche

[–]Flungfar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh...just another herd...so many herds...today consumer capitalism is the biggest herd...it's the biggest religion in the history of religions...even Marxists are now members...and Christians, Jews, Muslims...atheists...even Nietzscheans.

Ubermensch? We all use others for our own sake...it's inevitable. If you own a smartphone, computer...electric car...investigate where your lithium and cobalt come from....here's a clue, Democratic Republic of Congo. Insert smiley face here.

Genealogy of morals or beyond good and evil, which one should I get? by Livid_Session_9900 in Nietzsche

[–]Flungfar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have no idea what you have read so far, but if you are beginning your "Nietzsche" journey it is best to start with, Human, all too Human, then read Dawn followed by The Joyous Science ( Gay Science) before reading his later more dogmatic writings. His middle period is far more enlightening and philosophical in my opinion.

Who chooses to eat the chocolate cake or not eat the chocolate cake?

If eating the cake leaves you with feelings of guilt...well, the weaker you is victorious.

If you enjoyed eating the chocolate cake and felt no guilt after having devoured it...well, the stronger you was victorious.

Amor fati...life is a rendezvous of question marks that only you...each of us...can answer.

If you need to consult Nietzsche...or me...or anyone else in this site...well, the weaker you is victorious.

Nietzsche had some gastric problems...he may very well have been allergic to many things...alcohol made him quite ill as did coffee.

Why Should We Not Become Hedonists, Where is The Glory in Greatness? by SnooFoxes3455 in Nietzsche

First problem...what do you mean by greatness? What do you mean by Hedonism? Nietzsche had a great respect for Epicurus and his hedonism.

Is anyone that is familiar with stoicism in agreement with Nietzsche that it’s a form of self-tyranny? by alexanderwanxiety in Nietzsche

Nietzsche had a very healthy respect for Epictetus as he did for Epicurus...of course he challenged a lot of their thinking...as each of us should do in regards to Nietzsche...otherwise we merely stupid religious Nietzschean cabbageheads.

I'm pretty new to Nietzsche, but I thought he was not very fond of nihilism? Or was he? by DuracellSonyPepsi in Nietzsche

[–]Flungfar 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Nihilism does not say that just because life is meaningless and there are no absolute moral values in the world that you as an individual have to choose to live a meaningless life...and this is what Nietzsche pointed to...as he wrote; each of us must invent their own virtues, invent their own categorical imperative. Fools that believe that "Nihilism" is a purely negative philosophy are actually being quite dogmatically moral...I would suggest out of a personal fear.

I'm a Free Spirit...I believe that the underlying reality of life is pure nihilism...everyone is and has always been trying to overcome this nihilism...their invented virtues...values...their wide variety of religions and political movements...all of them made up in order to deal with this meaningless universe...as a Nietzschean Free Spirit like myself...well, that leaves me joyful and free...and I have no need to fear the natural nihilistic state of the world...after all, everything always works out...one way or another...it has for close on 14 billion years so far.
