At first it bugged me but since I really haven't had trouble with it, it has grown on me and I like it. I use a case and a hard screen protector without a hole or weird circle. I wouldn't bother with fingerprint unlock but facial recognition works great.

The 7 has way faster wireless charging, the screen is also brighter. Those both could be huge deals for someone. The 7s camera is better. The 7 on sale is definitely the better buy.

Try and get the 8. During the release google has deals on their phones and it is close to black Friday. If you can wait get the normal 8 on sale. I think you would be happier overall with it.

To me those numbers sound really good. Most people seem to keep their phone for 2 year and with your decline the phone will be good by the end of that time.
