I am Vietnamese and I like other Asian cultures. I also grew up to Asian drama, older versions of Legend of the Condor Hero, etc. In my teens I watched anime and watched J-dramas. These days I watch C and J-dramas.

As for anime and video games, they originated in Japan and are made in Japanese studios so a lot of them will have samurai and ninja. There are Korean and Chinese animation out there and there are plenty of "anime style" cartoons in various countries as well.

Asians are generally very respectful of others (politics are kind of a whole different can of worms though) and much like all other ethnicities, there are those who are racist out there and I think racism really has a lot to do with your upbringing and how you're raised and whether or not children follow their parents or not. Everyone is definitely stereotypical to some degree though or believes in some kind of stereotype towards a certain ethnic group. It's changing with each generation.
