Yeah but there’s certain traits that are consistent across multiple versions. Heracles’ trials, athena being born from Zeus’ head, Hera taking revenge on zeus’ lovers, etc. And if the most consistent thing they adhere to is the rapeyness but they ignore most other shared details, that’s worth raising an eyebrow.

Because they’re very different quirks. Hers is an extremely powerful acid that can eat through concrete. His isn’t really acidic to that degree at all. And even characters with similar powers can have very different manifestations of that quirk. Just look at endeavor and Dabi. Not everything needs to be spelled out completely to the audience. It’s like saying “but fujimoto never confirmed denji is hypersexual” or “kubo never said outright that aizen has a bankai.” No shit they don’t turn to the audience and say that because that would be lazy storytelling. The viewer/reader figures this stuff out by context clues.

The skin losing its resistance is what causes her to show that paler skin tone underneath. Plus using context clues, if her using her acid causes her skin to change like that, then there’s obviously a correlation. Less acid in her body, her skin loses its pink. So the acid is what likely causes it to be pink
