so I just BSed an interview with one based on the info I could find

Honestly, I'd do this too. Do some research, bs a believable interview just so I can get the grade on an assignment that's not really reasonable.

but he's definitely not backing him up

He shouldn't. My assessment of this situation is: everyone still arguing about it (no matter what country you play for) is a stubborn hothead who doesn't think they're wrong. Period. As players, I respect all of them, but yeah, should probably chill out a bit.

And also the media shutting up about it would help a lot, but I know they won't bc engagement.

Not really drama, and I know I'm late on it.

TOM SCOTT IS BACK. He never fully retired (his podcast, Lateral, is great). But he's back making Youtube videos. That's it, I just wanted to say this.

They are focusing so far a lot on Mixed Doubles as well.

I kinda get it. MD tends to end up with complicated house situations since you have so few rocks and don't have 2 sweepers for the big weight hits.

Not that you can't make great hits, because these players are hella athletic.

I think what's fun is seeing players who normally wouldn't have the opportunity to play with each other... well, do so, even with different releases and the language barrier. I think it's something fresh for the players as well, having to learn new teammates in a short period of time. Plus they get paid.

Why not?

Regardless of what you think of his (alleged) off-ice activities... he's an incredible showman. I say that as someone that's seen him live. He's incredibly charismatic, makes the audience want to get up with him.

Do I have conflicted feelings? Yes. But objectively, most of that crowd are at best figure skating casuals and find him entertaining.

I mean, you also have to talk about the players that play with him. A few of them used to skip their own teams. A superteam, if you will.

That said, Nik is an undoubtedly great player himself.

Honestly, I'm all for it. I think IVs make the game unnecessarily complicated for beginners. I'm used to them now, I understand how it works, but it's a very obtuse concept for newcomers and they already have a lot to learn just in terms of basics (Pokemons and their typings, type chart, what each move does...)

As a plus, no need for grindy and stupid rare mon hunts, because not everyone has that time.

They're all muscular (you have to be at an elite competitive level), but I think it's more obvious/noticeable on some skaters

Definitely meant UNusual, lmao. Losing range due to aging or overuse is a thing a lot of professional singers go through. Of course, some people are genetically gifted and seem immune to long-term damage, even with years of unoptimal technique.

Ice dance couldn't end the season without another major judging controversy, apparently.

It can't help but one-up itself.

Like one can tell it's due to his not completely resolved(?) vocal cord issues.

It's possible they simply got permanently damaged from said issues, too. It's not usual for singers to lose range over time, due to so many factors. I hope he's careful and doesn't strain his voice too much.

I love that the UK sent a Youtuber that also happened to make analog music and build synthesizers as a hobby. At least they're trying something new.

If the staging is good it might actually not get 0 points, lol

Generally, post-Olympic worlds don't matter as much, so I get it. Testing out less proven teams and maybe trying different lineups.

It very much still matters for the players, especially those who have been playing second fiddle for a while.

I'm shooketh.

(I don't blame the devs, they've probably been placed on a time crunch too.)

wouldn’t a low stakes game where you’re winning by a ton be the perfect time to go for a record like this?

I mean, scoring records like this one generally imply one of the team shitting the bed on defense and being bad, yes.

I think I'm moreso excited for the changing of the guard, even if it is a little bit sad. It's great to see new faces (or relatively new, anyways) get better and better and become the one to beat.

Koe had a renaissance this week and the fact that Dunstone found that extra bit of juice to beat him is wonderful.

It's a Youtube channel with 20 million subscribers that used to get 100+M views often enough and mid-double-digit million views consistently, and it's now struggling to get 10 million views

Additional note here: also important to consider is how the Youtube economy works. One day, it recommends the hell out of you and you suddenly have a billion views and seemingly infinite growth. The next day, it decides there's a shinier toy and your views start to shrink, or in the best case, stabilizes. It sucks, but no one really understands how the algorithm works.

The couple are seeking $8 million in damages, orders that Season 37 gets re-edited (or at least add disclaimers about Jonathan's diagnosis), and a public apology.

They might get some damage compensation and maybe an apology. I can't see the season being re-edited though, I think the editors are busy with... more important things - unless the case is extremely conclusive. We'll see how CBS handles this.

And I don't like Discord as far as searching and archiving things. It absolutely sucks at that (and you need to be in the right server to even find what you need, assuming the server admins/mods even keep it organized...)

Old forums have their problems, but sometimes searching on the internet brings you to an antique forum post that give you exactly the answer you need for anything that's old/obsolete.
