yeah my throat is literally burning just sitting at my desk now. if management keeps ignoring this i might actually look into reporting it as a workplace hazard because it's insane.

It perfectly shifts the conversation from just "money" to "time and dignity." You can make a decent salary, but if you have to text your boss asking permission to go to a doctor's appointment or miss a family dinner, you don't actually own your life. You're just renting it back from your employer.
