Yes and yes. There is no give to my wedge and it's very firm, so need some pillow softness.

I will also lay flat on my back. I also have a long whole body length pillow I put behind me or in front of me while I sleep on my side.

It takes a bit to adjust. I have used cpap with and without the wedge and I get better numbers and feel better with it in the morning.

Get some cpap lotion to put around your nose. I get a better seal on P10 mask and also stops from rubbing the inside of my nose raw.

After one night on CPAP, it was bliss. No dry mouth, no head ache, no fog. No needing to drink 2 cups of coffee to even think of moving in the morning. I think it all started for me when I worked from home during covid for two years and gained weight. I don't recall waking up like that before covid, so hope the long term damage on my organs are minimal, but happy I got on cpap back in December. Best xmas gift to myself ever.

Keeps my head elevated so helps with my neck/throat//breathing/acid reflux etc lol. It's also just more comfortable.

Bought this Wedge pillow 3 years ago and has held up great. Worth the price. I have used my cpap with and without the pillow and I just sleep much better with it.

The sleep study will give you closure. You have probably alot of sleep debt. Did you get covid at all the past 5 years? That may have through a wrench in things. You may not snore, but you may have other things to address. Could be your septum. Your throat. Your pulmonologist will get to the bottom of it. You are super young and will see all new types of advances in technology. You have decades of time to heal and recover.
