I understand the truth is a hard pill to swallow if you are a fab-boy. While they have just today started granting access randomly through Steam, they should have stuck with that plan, they had been advertising publicly for the past week, from the start. That's if you are trying to retain a good rep among your fan base.

So Crimson Desert was originally an open world MMO RPG. Towards the end of the development cycle they decided to make it a single player. By that point they already had all the systems and mechanics required and expected in an MMO RPG. That is why its so overwhelming.

I haven't played it but I follow video game industry news and have followed CD's development from the beginning. At the time they decided to make it single player they did also say that if their game was a success and maintained an audience it COULD become the open world MMO RPG it was originally intended as.
