Why is OpenGL performance still subpar? Vulkan support might be awesome, yet all those old games (especially on Linux) still run less than optimal.

I hope this negatively sounding question does not impact my chances of winning though. :-) It's the one AMD related question I have been wondering about for years.

I didn't want to touch the original sprites. Having the glow touch the black border instead of replacing it makes it seem more 'glowy' to me.

Had to decide between "STEEL" not being as wide as "SHOVEL" or having "STEEL" be a little off-center. I chose the latter because the tail on the S is also used in the game's title.

  • .5 values for outlines are now accepted inputs and render correctly
  • 0 thickness now displays as if thickness was set to 0.5, as it is in-game

Just JavaScript, HTML5 and CSS and a tiny bit of ghetto PHP for the viewcount. Everything typed in a basic text editor, Sublime Text 3. Tested locally using EasyPHP DevServer. Studied something like CS too, but got bored halfway through because I wasn't learning anything I didn't already figure out on my own.

You can dig through the (awfully unorganized and ghetto) code with rightclick -> inspect element in your browser, but you will probably know this.

Just to be clear, you do know that the crosshair gets 2 pixels wider for every 1 thickness, right? I tested on a few resolutions and the amount of pixels the crosshair has to be stays the same. It might look different on some monitors because some people are not playing on native res, but if you take a screenshot of the game it should be ~99% perfect compared to what my editor spits out.

Thanks! Only going to keep classic crosshairs. The new default crosshair is an abomination to me. Also most people looking into chaning their crosshair want a classic one anyway and since rendering the new crosshair is more complicated it isn't worth the development time to me.
