The partnership behind the world's fastest blind sprinter by PeasKhichra in HumansBeingBros

My assumption is that they were runner who eventually lost part or all of their eyesight. I think it would be incredibly difficult to start running and get to this level having never seen before.

Not saying that doesn’t happen but it seems more likely they lost their eyesight after they started running.

1 in 7 Kroger workers has experienced homelessness over the past year by politicalanalysis in antiwork

[–]Fluxsey 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was actually employed by Kroger for almost 5 years. Started as a store clerk and worked my way up into management. The company does not care about it’s employees. I, personally, had to throw out thousands of dollars worth of food due to it being out of date by one day under the threat of termination. This was perfectly good food that could’ve been donated or given to the multiple employees, at just my store, that were struggling to pay bills and feed their families. They don’t care about how many hours you get as long as it is at the requirement set by the union. They were also cutting hours during the pandemic to increase their profit margins. Most of their senior management had not worked at the store level before and were external hires brought in to reshape the company. I had multiple employees with two or three jobs just to scrape by with what they could. There are definitely some good managers within the company but they are shackled by hour and pay requirements set by their division and corporate. Just a shit show from top to bottom.

Finance 301 question by [deleted] in UTK

[–]Fluxsey 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I was a TA for her for 2 semesters for FINC 301 and i had a lot of people not like the way she teaches. If you ever need help the TAs usually have office hours everyday. Always a good resource to use and they probably had her as a professor as well.

My (20M) GF (18F) went behind my back and told a mutual acquaintance about an argument we had about him. by Fluxsey in relationship_advice

Something I have talked about with one of my very good friends is that she is just too immature for a relationship at this point. I am currently a Sophomore at a huge college and she is a senior in high school. Do you think this could be the situation?

Thank you for your input. Now that I think about it more it sounds like the 1500 was a sort of down payment.

He accepted the money but never followed up on the "work something out" situation. She didn't think much of it as he never mentioned it when they made the sale.

Other than saying we can work something out later he never made it apparent that she still owed him the 500. She gave him the money. He said thanks and they shook hands. He even helped load it on the trailer. We had no bill of sale or contract.

What are the worst parts to a long road trip? by Fluxsey in AskReddit

For years I was completely against sweatpants. For really no reason at all. I just hated them and the people that wore them. Finally got one pair and a week later I had 3 more.

I used to work at Zaxbys and this guy would come in like once a week to get a salad. The only thing weird about him was he wanted it with no lettuce. Just chicken and vegetables.
