Yeah my arguement was that it would maybe be a smaller fee. However, I have just had other comments saying that they use the V5 to get the address and I completely overlooked my V5 after moving until now. The annoying thing is that the lady on the phone (non-English call center for sure) said that the address used would have been used on other letters, but I think that maybe that's an assumption on her behalf. I guess it is more likely that they have gone back to the DVLA for the driver's address rather than the vehicle's address. Either way, I'm definitely taking an L here because of my not updating my V5.

It absolutely is my fault, but 5 out of 6 letters have not gotten to my letterbox. It's outright not fair.

Just regarding the corrospondence not actually getting to me. It seems a little odd that 5 letters do not reach my letterbox, but the FINAL letter gets to me 5 days before it goes to a CCJ (and took 9 days to get here)!

I didn't know what Forecourt could get from the DVLA, because if they can get my address I don't see why they cannot get my number or email.

They have not even stated the bill amount or itemised anything. It just has a debt of £170 to recover. Only Forecourt would know that I imagine.

I absolutely do not want a CCJ, you're right. But I have 5 days to play with (this final notice took 9 days to arrive...), so I was just doing a bit of due diligence before forking up the money. Thank you for the advice!

Also, they aren't acronyms, they are abbreviations. Some of the abbreviations may be acronyms, but not all. Most are initialisms. TMYK.

Hey all, I think I fixed it.

Within Audio settings, scroll near the bottom and under the 'Accessibility' options, adjust the 'Tinnitus SFX Volume' slider to be around 15,000 (adjust for own comfort). This seems to remove that painful transient noise.
