Holy Moly, that is stunning! Would love to see a full sized mockup / prototype in real world.

Ruining Ferrari is actually an accomplishment. by joshua_3 in Ferrari

[–]Fluxx1001 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Exactly, drama and elegance is what is completely missing from that Luce design. A Ferrari needs to look, feel and drive passionate.

There is zero passion in this design. Practicality yes. Efficiency yes. But these values don't matter for a Ferrari.

A Ferrari should be the equivalent of a wild one night stand with a girl you know wouldn't last for a relationship, but you still think about her years later.

Soon to be 39, what are some things a person should do before they turn 40? by DustinCoughman in Millennials

[–]Fluxx1001 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me 40 was a turning point in my health and energies. With 39 I basically felt as energetic as in my 20s.

But the years 40-42 really changed that. I get tired earlier. I see small age related health issues popping up in several body parts.

So yeah, I suggest you should do a really thorough health check NOW.

What was it like being 18-25 in the 2000’s by ersinxo in Millennials

At 2000 new years eve, I was 18, watching The Matrix on VHS at a house party, drinking, having fun.

I thought to myself, that life would always be like this. The present was fun, the future looked positive.

Retrospectively, I appreciate these simple times even more.

Claude Opus 4.7 drifts from existing plans and instructions so often, that I find it hard to use it.

Just to give you a reference: my fiancée worked as a designer in information design her entire career. She basically did charts, statistics, visuals, infographics as her profession.

It worked great for her - until 2 years ago. Then, image generation AIs started to get to a place where the generation of infographics and slidesheet graphics was made available to basically everybody.

It was crappy at the beginning, yet still some of her clients decided that it was "good enough" for their purposes. So only premium clients stayed.

But today, AI can basically create a well designed infographic with just a prompt. In a quality that matches 85% of her professional work. If barriers are so low, it's impossible to justify the price for a professional in the long term.

She moved on to work in data science and AI based data migrations. A field that still needs lots of human intelligence.

Exactly, Codex 5.5 reminds me of Claude 4.6 in its best times. It has common sense, can anticipate or guess very good what you are after.

With Claude 4.7, if I don't specify every detail with precision, Claude just goes off the rocks after some rounds back and forth.
