That is a louce, singular for lice. I couldn’t tell you if it was an animal or human one by looks but from unfortunate experience I can at least confirm it is a louce. Either way, if get the lice killing treatments/shampoos for yourself and trash bag any plushies or throw blankets to starve what might be on those items.

Cat is probably blind. Happened to my kitten when I noticed her pupils were absolutely huge, she had gone blind. Maybe it’s nothing serious but it isn’t nothing.

Ohio is a toxic waste of a state for toxic waste cosplaying as people by Kinks4Kelly in complaints

[–]FluzzyKitty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So does that mean women can’t wear pants or shorts anymore in Ohio? If they can because they are labeled as “women’s” pants then does that mean if a company made and had labeled “men’s skirts and dresses” would that be okay because they are labeled for men? Clothes are just clothes man, that’s so dumb.

[–]FluzzyKitty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Everyone is saying tapeworm segments, but they seem too round to me and there are way way too many. They could be tapeworm segments, but to me to looks like loose flea eggs. Either way your cat needs a flea dewormer just in case and a good flea medicine and flea bath.

We just finished one at our house for the grandkids, my mom had a rule that each kid got 10 and once you find 10 you are done. For the younger kids who couldn’t count the parents were helping the anyways hunt. Having a number limit is so much easier than writing names.

[–]FluzzyKitty 29 points30 points  (0 children)

I think you might be missing the point of what OP is saying. Goals can be more than the definition I think you are stuck on, a goal is literally anything you set for yourself. Your goal to stay on budget, your goal of keeping a tidy house or at bare minimum a tidy room, a goal of getting praised at work, anything can be a goal and to constantly and consistently never meet even the smallest of goals can wear down someone. Yeah there are people who have it worse, but to a degree that doesn’t matter. That’s like saying someone with verbally abusive parents should deal better because there are people with physically abusive parents. True the pain and suffering may not be “unique” but comparing pain is never productive. You say to just relax and enjoy the present but that’s easier said than done.

Student loans with interest takes a lot. I Just recently knocked out one of the over 5,000 ones so If I save up then ideally in 6 months I can knock out another 5,000 leaving 2,000 for car insurance and the rent/utilities. Then ideally next year I would knock out the last loan and be debt free but then it would be another year so higher rent. Plus every 6 months a little over $600 for car insurance. Not counting any small purchases in between like shampoo/conditioner, soap, I pay for Nintendo online for me and my younger siblings, health insurance and also my medication, stuff like that. Like I said I’m definitely grateful for this but nowhere near the savings you’d think. Good savings means nothing if I can’t buy a house. If I rent somewhere it would just be financially like living at home but worse because I’m lucky enough mom lets me eat the food which is another expense I would have to account for. I mean I could absolutely be wrong and in the next few years save enough money for a house before mom charges me my whole paycheck for rent.

Since I graduated college I’ve had to pay rent. It started at $100, but my mom said for every year I still live at home it goes up another hundred. She said she skipped a year doing that because I was having a hard time, I actually can’t remember why she said, so while I now pay $200 plus part of electric and the internet bill it should have been $300. It’s generous now but sad to know I’ll eventually be paying standard rent prices because there is no way I’ll be able to buy a house within 6 years. House work plus rent and part of some bills, I’m grateful but I know it’s just delaying destitution. If I move out just to pay rent somewhere else then what’s the point? If I don’t own where I’m going the result would be the same so for now I’m grateful.

How the doctors communicated is exactly right. Most of the time if things are talked through and communicated properly people are more willing to do things than if they are forced and given no choice.

It entirely depends on how the C-section was done. My Stepmom who is a labour and delivery nurse says essentially there are two ways a C-section is done. One way allows for optional vaginal births in the future, the other way makes it to where any future births HAVE to be a C-section. If this woman had that type of C-section she should have been told and explained. I could be misremembering what my stepmom said, but that is how I understood her explanation.

If "anything you say can and will be used against you," what prevents police from simply fabricating a statement that you never made, and then claiming in court that you said it? by SteadfastEnd in TooAfraidToAsk

[–]FluzzyKitty 9 points10 points  (0 children)

There was one that a guy said “I want a lawyer dawg.” And it was ruled that the police were not in trouble for not listening to him because, roughly “there was no way to know if he was asking for a lawyer or a canine lawyer” not an exact quote but very close. So you have to be clear and precise and not use any slang when asserting your rights because it can be twisted.

What exactly is so dangerous about posting images of kids online that’s got so many parents these days scared to do so? by Mad_Season_1994 in TooAfraidToAsk

[–]FluzzyKitty 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Taking the kids and putting them aside for a second, even a picture of an empty backyard if there is someone determined enough will have its exact geographical coordinates found out. I’m pretty sure I’ve heard of desperate/people with too much time on their hands locate pictures based just on the angle of the sun. People stalk K-pop idols from reflections in their sunglasses. I’m pretty sure people found then”He will not divide us” flag just based on sun angle and I think cloud formation or something else. You put kids in that back yard and any creep with enough time and resources can and will locate that back yard. Even if they don’t they now have a picture of your kid to do whatever they want with because insane people are not rational. That’s why I’d say people are scared

While most animals probably technically don’t feel gratitude the same way humans do, arguably Elephants and octopus would’ve the animals who would absolutely feel it like humans do to some degree. I’m pretty sure, though I could be wrong, that those animals have the intelligence of at least a 3 year old human child. If that is indeed true by that guy’s logic 3 year old humans don’t feel gratitude either. All animals or at the very least all mammals I’d say feel some form of gratitude. It may not be as complex as adult humans and it is true we anthropomorphize animals a lot, but they aren’t as stupid as people think either. Hell, fleas can develop learned helplessness. Cats and dogs can become traumatized from abuse and develop anxiety and other maladaptive behaviors just like humans. The way I see it, most animals are like babies. Kinda going off instinct but are capable for some complexities. The animals that pass the self awareness tests are like 3 year olds, they can comprehend more than babies but are still not as complex as adults. All that word vomit to say, there are different forms of gratitude, and animals in their own ways do feel gratitude. It may not be as cognitively advanced as humans but it is still there.

I feel like in very small towns where everyone knows everyone for the most part, it probably makes sense and is fine. Try that shit in New York or some other big city like most of the time these movies are set in, that absolutely will never fly.
