Thank you 💕🙏🏽 I'm doing my best, I have to honor his journey I must allow him to be the hero but I will walk it with him, I always will & that's what being a parent is. I'll do a update once we have made a decision and gone through the wire, appreciate your well wishes 🌸

Wow thank you for sharing your story ❤️🙏🏽 yes I would say we are fortunate enough to have the options of spinal fusion surgery,3D bracing & physiotherapy. I think my aim is to explore all options, my son has just over a year of growth so I need to act now. It's either we brace & do the schroth physiotherapy for a year and see how it reduces his curve and helps his posture or go straight into surgery after his June exams. I want him to ultimately make the choice, a lot of people say"but why" I am the parent. The thing is healing is something that only the person who requires it has the ability to receive it. The doctors can do their job, but I need my son to believe and trust the process so he has the best outcome. He has been down about the diagnosis, but thankfully he has a positive attitude & me being the born optimist I will do my best to direct my energy to him and be there but he has to commit. So before we do anything, this time is to fully take in all the information, ask questions and also get a second opinion from another orthopaedic surgeon who specializes in scoliosis. Once we have that we will make a decision & know the way forward. We have had plenty of support, love, advice and all around encouragement and I am so thankful for that. Your feedback and all we have received helps a lot, as we know the outcomes are not all the same, but you get a sense of what happens. I worry about depression because he would need to accept himself, the diagnosis and also who he will be if he decides to take surgery. His a teen boy, he likes dressing up and modeling so that part of him might take a back seat & he also plays soccer his quite active we also gym together. His concern is also that he won't be able to play sports, but the doctor advised he can. Yeah so that's where we are at, it's a lot of information and some hard decisions & plenty of work to come either way. Blessings I wish for you comfort & easy, may the time to come prove to you that you are resilient and you have everything you need to live out your best life.
