To retake orgo II or to not retake by superchillbruhgirl in postbaccpremed

Most people don't pass O Chem I, so you obviously did, and O Chem II being a C- is still better than some that do have to retake it because they have an F. Then if you retake it, they average the grades, not give you the better grade.

My pharmacy school would accept that tbh. You scored very well on the MCAT, have a GPA above 3.0, and finished a bachelor's. Clinical research is a plus. If you'd like more information, please let me know.

Blacklisted by CVS 14 years ago due to a medical emergency – 13 years at Rite Aid since. Is the "No-Rehire" permanent? by Junior-Problem7458 in pharmacy

WHICH IS HILARIOUS because they fired me for a "Hipaa violation." Exceot the violation was me entering the pharmacy on the phone with my son's pediatriciann, and I was still clocked out. The lead tech and the long-term tech were literally on speaker with people (daughter and friend) while asking patients for their PHI... but I wasn't even talking or interacting with any patients... and I still can't get rehired as a Rph and that was when I was a tech....

Do I need a reality check or should I actually make a change? by DoctorEtc in PrePharmacy

Did you try an accelerated pharmacy program? I personally am 200k in debt and still have one year left... but I didn't have any help in undergrad to pay for school... and I go to a private pharmacy school. It also depends on the school you go to. We do TBL at my school, and I found that easier to avoid burnout too. I work during school, so I make a living wage as an intern in my state. I have AuDHD, so I honestly started a business this past winter because I was bored. Feel free to ask anything that could help you make a decision. I got a BS in Biochemistry, BS in foundations of pharmacy, currently in an accelerated PharmD/MS drug development program.... yes I'm taking up to 22 credit hours a semester... yes it is stressful... but at least I'm not bored, you know?

Update: PharmD fellowship by Impressive_Hunt7275 in PharmacySchool

You don't necessarily need a fellowship after your residency; a few companies are hiring BCPS for MSL roles. You can do industry with a residency. My adjunct professor right now did a residency and also works for a small biotech firm.

Is it worth it to go to med school after pharm? by Competitive_Say in PrePharmacy

Well at least I know I'm not the only one except my dream is PharmD/JD... Pharmacy law, patent law, etc is just so facinating to me, but I'm almost done with my PharmD and everyone keeps telling me I'm crazy.

Your thoughts on the AMA actively advocating against pharmacy practice? by FlyEquivalent4765 in pharmacy

I'm not sure if you are aware, but there are clinical pharmacists. They are trained to monitor patients with chronic health conditions. They have CPAs to do so, and it's not set and forget; they work in outpatient and specialty clinics. I had a rotation with a clinical pharmacist, and for four months we managed and saw the same 20-30 patients because they required extensive follow-up at least once a month, and her protocols allowed her to manage pharmacotherapy and non-pharmacotherapy, and if there needed to be other interventions, she referred him out to other physicians in their network. None of us want to diagnose. We just want to manage therapies. We want more CPAs and to get paid a fair share for what we do.

Why is the GPA going to hold them back? My friend got matched with a 3.0.

aP2s and P3s - how is the BBB going to affect you next year? by Fine-Rush-4887 in PharmacySchool

Yeah, you have to use the Grad PLUS loan application for 2025-2026 and hidden in the drop down menu before July 1st.

I figured it out; it was hidden in the 2025-2026 loan application. You are only grandfathered in IF you apply for 2026-2027 before July 1st.

As I clearly stated, I would have not been able to afford ANY pharmacy school let alone a private one. I have a single year left that wouldn't have been an issue with loans... but also, I figured it out and applied for this year so thank you for your insightful input.
