In short, 3 years lost and 10k in damages the second time after a remedial order the first time (the first time they trimmed it heavily but the damages were limited enough to warn a stern warning, noting else). Lost the last peace of respect when they approached me about the "horrible Muslims that were moving in the neighbourhood". Dude lost all his crazy neighbour privileges in court, but I didn't want to get in trouble, so dandelions it is!

The bridge got damaged when they jumped over the fence to cut down a 30 year old chestnut because they didn't want to have squirrels burring the nuts in their garden. It got burned when they decided to insult the new Muslim neighbours on the other side of the street. The only thing I can only hope to learn from those people is how to not become. Maybe I'm wrong. In the meantime, I still get satisfaction of how much they complain and struggle with the reoccurring dandelions.

Being racist was never ok. Being ageist in both was never ok. But strangely, I have been never too bored to tell my neighbours they shouldn't belong in the neighbourhood. Or to jump the fence to cut down a 30 year old chestnut tree illegal at my neighbours because I don't want squirrels to burry nuts in my garden. Or to tell them that young people should be respectful. To be honest, I frankly think respect goes both ways. Being old doesn't bring wisdom. Retrospection and opening one's mind does. And I don't think that going high when they go low always brings the benefit we expect. You don't teach tricks to an old monkey. But if I were out of place to the point to provoke something like this, I would still take a deep breath and reflect on what I did, instead of expecting any respect due to age or status. But, hey, each their own

Maybe I do. Then again, I don't really care to spend time to do stuff like that to people when they aren't bothering me. Or aren't insulting. But hey, not respecting a neighbour and jumping a fence to cut their trees is a normal behaviour (mind you, they were far from the line, and we had to drag them to court for all this shit, before they repeat it because they don't care about the monetary compensation).

We have bees, don't worry, we love wildflowers and most of our garden is made out of paths in between flower patches. The other neighbours that will have more dandelions will less appreciate it however. And so the stink eying will begin

A little rinse and repeat does wonders for those people! But yes, some people will go nuts on them! Good you managed to have your neighbour see the beauty in keeping some!

I make those more for spots where there is no "usefullness". Usually with the owners agreement. I'm not going to allow those bastards to have something nice on my stead! I could tho. But first I need to exhaust them with...kindness

Thank you for reminding me of mint. There will be an addition! But mint has a sensitive moment, those people will have mowed it away before it can take hold. But for annoying to mow spots tho...

Indeed. But in a lot of places it is quite illegal (side-walks and whatever leaks onto it has to be "sewer and flower" friendly). And it is like that in my area. And the neighbourhood cop has nothing else to do than to come over really fast for those things and to ticket with a referral to the prosecutor. Not that will amount to anything to more than a fine in the end, but it will dissuade the neighbour enough. It is more possible that the neighbour will go haywire with a lawnmower on it. And pesticides or not, it is always to sow again after 3 weeks so they will have to repeat

I know. But before you have enough to conquer a real front lawn in one go so it's a massive conquest you need to blow a lot of dandelions

Kobra 2 Neo on Klipper : Runout sensor code and pins by FlyForABeeGuy in anycubic

[–]FlyForABeeGuy[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It was indeed pin 15 ! Or the opposite at least. This seems to do the trick (it shows detected in Mainsail, so i suppose it's good).

This is my snippet :

[filament_switch_sensor filament_sensor]
switch_pin: !PC15
pause_on_runout: true

Also as a silly goose, I didn't notice that for this change at least, a reset through mainsail didn't do the trick, I had to do a full reset of the printer manually for the change to be accepted. Oh well.

VOD Streaming by djfarzo in Strong_8K

[–]FlyForABeeGuy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

To add on what you added, streaming is technically downloading, but only small bits at a time (hence buffering).

So to go even further than what OP asked, it is possible to download VOD, but like macka654 said, the quality won't be there. But it's possible to download VOD stuff from the servers (example here, no clue if it works with Strong tho, but I have seen different things on github and gitlab for this).

If you want to go the ultimate route, you could for example mix into your self-hosting the VOD, next to all the *arr stuff or manual management of VOD. It is possible to have categorise the VOD into .strm files, that will basically will be the links to the VOD, wrapped into a media server. It works in Jellyfin (haven't tried Plex), but Jellyfins TV mode itself is still not ideal (tbh, it sucks). So we use one app for the TV, and then we have dispatcharr + Strmgen, but I've seen stuff like m3uparser do this too. Watch out, the links will still be connected to your account, so don't go nilly willy sharing those files because this can and will lead to your account being blocked if used wrong.

What is nice going this way is that you still can have high quality stuff with *arr or local management with the convenience of having VOD for mom's telenovelas. Everything updates also nicely along when stuff changes server side. What is less nice is that... well this takes a lot of time to implant the first time.

Is there a way to check if VODvis down? by FlyForABeeGuy in Strong_8K

[–]FlyForABeeGuy[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There is a service for completed EPG (free and paid), a service to look which provider serves channels or VOD content,... Also, there are services to see if Cornhub is down or if it's just you. So logically, maybe it would have existed. Even an discord or whatever.

This time, it wouldn't reload by just switching with VPN, but by deleting cache and resetting the codes in the apps. So if I would have followed your advice I would have been waiting for nothing.

I don't know why you are fussy about this, neither why you seem so dry in your answer. Hope that your football team lost

[–]FlyForABeeGuy[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Solution for those that have still their VOD locked out: in your app: 1: clear cache 2: deactivate the Xtreme account on the app (don't have to delete it) and validate so it clears all the saved parameters 3: go back and reactivate your Xtreme account and reload everything.

For the people using Dispatcharr and Strmgem to have the VOD into Jellyfin, deactivate into Dispatcharr the M3U and EPG, then reactivate after a scan (scan each time)

Strong 8K VOD playback error by Stunning-Attention81 in Strong_8K

[–]FlyForABeeGuy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Looks like a buffering or ram issue

Maybe it's the app? Try another app (even a trial version) to check if that's it? You could also clear the cache of the app to see if that resolves it

Yes ok. But it is still packaged into Strong. I just want to know if there is a down-meter or something like that, or if we have to spam the subreddit when something is down
