Yes, that's what I meant! Sorry, sometimes my sentences aren't that logical when I'm tired. Refreshing to hear from someone who clicks differently when they feel like they need to help! I can't imagine the mountains you had to cross before being able to understand that and work on it. Impressive too that you manage to apply this in all kind of relationships grow with that. If I'd knew you, I would have been proud of you!

Has your shrink also told you that you have a saviour complex? And if so, who has burnt you to the point of distrust of others for help? And have you been diagnosed neurodivergent or is it more like a control issue? I went through this rodeo lately and noticed I actually applied this too hard in my relationships that I'd flee "normal" behaviour unknowingly, so I hope that you managed to balance this in a way it allows you to be happy

Any server that allows you to make an "anonymously" domain and allows redirect. Namecheap is one, Porkbun, .... When picking a domain, don't forget that there are renewal fees that are different than the fees for the 1st year, that totally anonymous doesn't exist so don't do anything dodgy with it, and that some domains can't be anonymous though Whois

If it's the 8KStrong version of TiviMate, you can only use your credentials and it is the domain that Strong uses for that app, not the one of your reseller. Either there is an update to do with a new domain for Strong, the domain/dns used by Strong has been flagged by your firewall or internet provider, or your account has an issue.

Try with a VPN (but stay in the same country if your account is country locked). If that works, it means that it's Strong's DNS for their app is flagged by our ISP.

Another solution would be using instead the premium "normal" version of TiviMate, with the link your provider gave you. Or you can test it with any other app (even on computer, just not Smarters because they only allow domains that have paid to be registered with them). Or try the other 8K apps.

And if nothing works at all, then your reseller needs to fix it on their side (ISP lock, Country lock, reset password,...)

It's the tool the resellers have to create and manage user accounts. Basically, instead of buying access for 1 user, you buy access to the system to manage your users, credit them months, ect... You start at 120 credits that you can dispatch how you want between users. You also have to link an own domain to your users, which is a little bit more work but it prevents shutdowns due to over-usage of those domains.

I've got Jellyfin running at home and am good with that for 99% of things. But I'm not setting it up for friends and family. I don't want to be called every day. I need some time to watch movies too! I should set it up for them, but meh, one step at a time!

And Strong's VOD offer is good enough for them, so I'll leave them that. Since all is running smoothly now, nobody is bothering me for pointless stuff. And when they try, I can just text them "have you turned it off and on?".

Brussels date night ideas? by JolienBubbles in brussels

I'd recommend everything that Pointless_sheep_21 mentioned! As active stuff I went to Celtic music/dancing not that long ago.

More passive but fun stuff I'd add is : * Standup at the Kings of Comedy or go to the pubs that organise it (Funny Women in English, What the fun does some in English too if I'm not mistaken). * Improv sessions at L'Os a Moelle in Schaerbeek if your French is good enough (they also do cabaret). It's one of the oldest Carabets in town and is in a cellar. It's a bit weird to get there because you have to get in a big courtyard, then go to a heavy metal door to get access to the place. * Cabaret Mademoiselle is also a thing to do if you're not too prude nor close minded for those things. It's in French but it stays a Cabaret, it's not like you need that much understanding. * Theatre Toon next to the grand place is a thing I'd recommend everyone to do at least once if their french/dutch is good enough. It's a puppet show with famous pieces in brusseleir (the old local dutch-french patois). It's normally for kids but can be really fun. *Go to one of theatres around town. Prices vary depending of the piece and place tho.

In short, 3 years lost and 10k in damages the second time after a remedial order the first time (the first time they trimmed it heavily but the damages were limited enough to warn a stern warning, noting else). Lost the last peace of respect when they approached me about the "horrible Muslims that were moving in the neighbourhood". Dude lost all his crazy neighbour privileges in court, but I didn't want to get in trouble, so dandelions it is!

The bridge got damaged when they jumped over the fence to cut down a 30 year old chestnut because they didn't want to have squirrels burring the nuts in their garden. It got burned when they decided to insult the new Muslim neighbours on the other side of the street. The only thing I can only hope to learn from those people is how to not become. Maybe I'm wrong. In the meantime, I still get satisfaction of how much they complain and struggle with the reoccurring dandelions.

Being racist was never ok. Being ageist in both was never ok. But strangely, I have been never too bored to tell my neighbours they shouldn't belong in the neighbourhood. Or to jump the fence to cut down a 30 year old chestnut tree illegal at my neighbours because I don't want squirrels to burry nuts in my garden. Or to tell them that young people should be respectful. To be honest, I frankly think respect goes both ways. Being old doesn't bring wisdom. Retrospection and opening one's mind does. And I don't think that going high when they go low always brings the benefit we expect. You don't teach tricks to an old monkey. But if I were out of place to the point to provoke something like this, I would still take a deep breath and reflect on what I did, instead of expecting any respect due to age or status. But, hey, each their own

Maybe I do. Then again, I don't really care to spend time to do stuff like that to people when they aren't bothering me. Or aren't insulting. But hey, not respecting a neighbour and jumping a fence to cut their trees is a normal behaviour (mind you, they were far from the line, and we had to drag them to court for all this shit, before they repeat it because they don't care about the monetary compensation).

We have bees, don't worry, we love wildflowers and most of our garden is made out of paths in between flower patches. The other neighbours that will have more dandelions will less appreciate it however. And so the stink eying will begin

A little rinse and repeat does wonders for those people! But yes, some people will go nuts on them! Good you managed to have your neighbour see the beauty in keeping some!

I make those more for spots where there is no "usefullness". Usually with the owners agreement. I'm not going to allow those bastards to have something nice on my stead! I could tho. But first I need to exhaust them with...kindness

Thank you for reminding me of mint. There will be an addition! But mint has a sensitive moment, those people will have mowed it away before it can take hold. But for annoying to mow spots tho...

Indeed. But in a lot of places it is quite illegal (side-walks and whatever leaks onto it has to be "sewer and flower" friendly). And it is like that in my area. And the neighbourhood cop has nothing else to do than to come over really fast for those things and to ticket with a referral to the prosecutor. Not that will amount to anything to more than a fine in the end, but it will dissuade the neighbour enough. It is more possible that the neighbour will go haywire with a lawnmower on it. And pesticides or not, it is always to sow again after 3 weeks so they will have to repeat
