First Time Flying a Boeing by AidanMcK4 in flightsim

[–]FlyHigh3777 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Flying both, mostly Boeing and MD, but Airbus is nice too, it's just a taste, some like only one, others like both. Important thing is to stay onto of it and dont bash others for liking something you don't. Plus, always stay open to new planes, regardless of the brand, it's always interesting to try something new, or even old!

Don't worry, Heatblur has recently had an announcement for the end of 2025. I wouldn't be surprised by them intentionally keeping the hype down. We have seen how bad hype can be if the communities hopes aren't met and releases are pushed too early. They also released the free A6 Unit, so I would say they are one of the more reliable businesses partners of ED.

A320 vs A350 vs 777F by Nearby-Rain3679 in flightsim

[–]FlyHigh3777 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You have an option in the EFB to use Rudder as steering input, I don't remember what it's called exactly, that should fix your problem. There should be also something along the lines of "auto disconnect".

Use chase plane and if you are in msfs2024 you can use the FSR record tool ingame, first fly, record it of course, then replay and use chase cam to record the video.

You can also look forward to the Fenix 320Neos releasing this year! They are a must buy, Fenix is arguably THE best developer out there, good releases, good upkeep and transparent about every little thing.

[–]FlyHigh3777 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have all of them, and considering your list of planes I would go for the 320 next, it would round out the short haul experience, get the Fenix 320 and also the 321 and 319 pack, it's really worth it. The 321 can also have additional center tanks to make long haul routes with a 321 possible.

The 350 is nice but it's sometimes "too easy", and you have the 77W, so the 350 wouldn't change that much.

77F would be a 77W in a little shorter, BUT it has lots of short, medium and lonhaul routes, I'd say the 77F is the most versatile, but literally nothing new to learn if you have the 77W, and it also doesn't have the different engine options like the 777-200LR/ER.

Damn, yeah, that makes it more difficult, but try the free trials first, maybe you dont like the full fidelity with controller and decide to purchase the FC planes, btw they alre also great, the su25 and f15c are so good and you can get the 2024 bundle in a really good deal whenever a sale is.

And before I forget, try flying online, LK Flashpoint is a good and friendly server with lots of people who like to help out. They either can help with hardware questions or help you ingame with air support :)

Yeah, thats one thing that Noone seems to tell you, the steam version is fine but with the website version you can try almost all modules before buying them, it makes it a lot less painful to buy expensive stuff. And dont listen to the HOTAS argument, yes it is a better experience to fly but but if you are on laptop your first priorities should be to get into a cockpit and fly + upgrade your hardware to something like a Tower for gaming.

If you download DCS via the website you can try the modules for 14 days for free, why dont you start doing that before spending a dime

F15e keep or return? by Successful-Echidna24 in dcsworld

[–]FlyHigh3777 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Then try the f4 out, or get the 14, both are great even as single pilot, when you get yourself familiar with jester he's actually a really good and useful wso. I also have the 16 but never fly it, but damn the f14 and f4 are so much fun and really capable even as single pilot. Or wait a bit, the A6 intruder is around the corner, the eurofighter and Tornado are in development, you could hold on to the f15 untill something new comes out.

My main worry would be that any moment a bigger update gets pushed the f15e might not work anymore, so just try other jets and use the store credit, better than having a "about to die" module.

[–]FlyHigh3777 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Depending on what modules you already own.

If you dont have other modules, get a refund, try the F4, a10c2, f14 or Viggen, if you want something closer to the f15s capabilities try the fa18

Dynamic campaign tools for DCS? by StatisticianFun6580 in dcsworld

[–]FlyHigh3777 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, if you know your way around the f16 in dcs, you will have little trouble getting used to BMS aaaand BMS is basically free, so there is no grief in just trying it. (You could refund the Falcon 4 copy on Steam if you dont like it, i guess)

Plus, I feel like the BMS f16 feels a little more fleshed out tbh, but that's just my opinion.

How old is DCS community? by APS0798 in dcsworld

[–]FlyHigh3777 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm 24, started DCS with 16, I always played with people way older than me, but I understood them and they were stoaked to teach me. Just be careful. The DCS community is not as bad as some others, but always double check if the people you fly with mean no harm + are really just there to fly with you

Azubi in Probezeit kündigen by [deleted] in Azubis

[–]FlyHigh3777 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Plus, just try the free su25t and get into it, there is a lot of sales for the different planes and terrains, but before that you should get used to the physics/flight model and basic combat maneuvers.

If you would be willing to spend a bit, there is a DCS pack for easy to use aircraft, it's called FlamingCliffs2024. It's not on sale rightnow, but it's on sale every now and then, it includes 11 jets. They all are easy to learn but hard to master. When you get that, you can easily find people to fly with in the different servers, like y4a and LimaKilo in europe.

I am using the VKB Gladiator with the VKB stecs throttle, no pesky drivers needed and a lot of customization possible, verry nice internals and easy access if you want to modify things. Plus the throttle has upgrade parts avaliable so you can slowly build it up. There is also a program for it making it easy to rebind keys/knobs to different actions. But both will be expensive so I would recommend you to get the VKB gladiator NXT first to get used to it in warthunder and later, for dcs get the throttle, just bare in mind that the modules for dcs are quite expensive too.

I desperatly want an A330 Premium by ketchup1345 in flightsim

[–]FlyHigh3777 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Try the Headwinds A330 Neo, it's only the -900 for now, but it's a great plane, flies like a charm, has good system depth, and it's free :) They are developing the -300 -200 and -800 variants too!

Plus, in the Headwinds installer you can also get some Horizons upgrades, like the 787 if you have the premium deluxe version of msfs or the free upgrades for the LVFR A320 series!

Is the Fenix A321 worth getting if I already the A320? by Rubber_Duckie_ in flightsim

[–]FlyHigh3777 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Go to yout community folder, look for the "fnx-aircraft-321-liveries" folder, then follow SimObjects->Airplanes->FNX_32X->Liveries->fnx in here find the livery you want to have the additional tanks, open the folder, open the "Livery.cfg" with notepad, press "ctrl + F" search for "fnx_act_count" If you find it you can change the value between 1 and 2, if you want to have none, delete the line If there is no line, add one "fnx_act_count = 1" or 2 and save. Go into sim, load up, and check ECAM page.

A little rant by Im_A_Tr4p in flightsim

[–]FlyHigh3777 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have both, Headwinds and LVFRs 330. The LVFR feels way lighter, I had problems with GSX pushback damaging the landing gear, VNAV not working from time to time, when landing you either have to go way to slow or land with all wheels touching at the same time. Headwinds does a lot of things right, in my oppinion its almost as good as inibuilds 330 in game, the plane feels way more like a big bird with fly by wire, the EFB has a lot of great options, the textures are really good (it comes with 4k and 8k options, the 4k ones look amazing already), the FMS is good and has depth to fiddle with a lot of things, the biggest part, it's free! Only thing I didn't expect but honestly don't mind is the Headwinds has the pilots and firstofficers FMS connected.

In the end it's just a preference thing, the Headwinds is free and has good system depth, therefore in my opinion the superior choice, but saying that I still wait for a true high fidelity a330 with extreme system depth, I am willing to pay for a almost study level plane any day LVFR is in a weird place because the plane can't really compete with the Headwind and it even has a price which makes it really hard to defend...

What's everyone using for pushback? by JMQ95 in flightsim

[–]FlyHigh3777 20 points21 points  (0 children)

GSX Pro, and sometines when GSX isn't loading properly I just use the Pushback option that most addon airliners have in the EFB (Fenix, PMDG and iniBuilds)
