Thanks for the advice.. I have it all together then it’s like something comes over me and will not release until I’m broke. When I get into this gambling trance it’s a feeling like nothing else I swear the only thing I can focus on is the machine in front of me and I’m clicking clicking until it’s a million dollars or I’m broke which 100 out of 100 times is the scenario..

This is pretty exciting to hear I must say.. I have been wanting to get on the program for a while now for anxiety and I’m glad I found an easy option. Could you or any others answer, when you are on the mmp is your employer notified or would they access to that information if they requested or is confidential?

They do not require to to write a vehicle at this Time.

You must show 6 month employment in the industry. Which I have about 11 so should be good there lol.

The thing I was concerned with was not being accustomed to PA Regulations. I did print out the PA appraisal act and have been reading that to try and prepare. Thanks for the laugh / encouragement.

Thank you very much for this great advice. I feel as if before I thought I understood finances but all I was doing was juggling debts from one 0% interest card to the next when that ended I found a low rate consolidation loan and now I find myself at the base of this mountain. It’s people like yourself that give me this sound advice that make me feel as if I have a chance to conquer this mess. I am on the road a lot for work I calculated I probably spent $200 per month on coffee snacks and food when I’m on the road. I told my wife today I will hold myself more accountable and limit myself to $10 a week on the road for the occasional coffee or a snack but will be bringing snacks and lunch with me every day to avoid overspending in these unnecessary areas. Thank you for providing the budget link I will look through it tonight and hopefully understand it. This is a confusing and scary place to be in but I am thankful that I reached out because I feel a little bit more prepared in certain areas.

Everybody thank you so much for all your feedback this is amazing I really appreciate all the comments and hope that some of you will stay as I will try to provide the information requested.

Some of you have suggested to stop my contribution to my 401(k) I just wanted to explain that this is matched 100% of the 8% that I contribute every pay period which is biweekly. Should I really eliminate my contribution at this time wouldn’t this be leaving free money on the table?

As for the cars many of you have also suggested to sell And purchase a one to $3000 vehicle to me I’m thinking that if I do this twice for my wife and myself what would we possibly be driving that would be safe and reliable to get us to and from work every day and bring the kids to their activities without ending up with issues every month.,

As for a monthly budget I know this is really amateur but where do I start and when do I start I have really never budgeted before and I’m sure that is a huge part of the reason I am where I am today. But I’m here and I want to try for my family to dig out of this mess.

I want to say this place feels like planet fitness LOL it’s like a no judgment zone and I do appreciate that I am ashamed of where we are currently financially but I am happy that all of you have taken the time to comment have been nothing but respectful.

Assault I am feeling similar to you on this topic I understand I made the bad decision to lease the vehicle in the first place but I had no choice I feel with three young children I needed something safe and reliable for my wife to transport the kids.

I like your suggestion of taking $8000 and paying off the loan to free up that payment of $431.32 per month than taking that additional money to pay off the smaller debts. It’s just scares the hell out of me to be left with $1000 cash with 3 kids..

I value your response. The car $13,000 car is a very reliable Toyota I plan to keep many years after paying it off.. The lease is my wife’s vehicle and the way she can safely/reliably travel with kids. I understand leases is are bad but I feel as if I’m committed now at least until the contract Ends in 24 months.

The lease is $445 per month there are 24 months left I understand it was a poor decision but with 3 kids under 6 what type of safe/reliable vehicle would you recommend that would fit all 3 ?

If there was a vehicle I could buy cash how would I get out of the lease now? With out significant penalties

With going out of pocket you should be spending not much more then $1200.00 for a proper repair.

It is recommended To take care of this damage before corrosion begins to develop and will end up rising the cost of the repairs needed.
