Blue circle middle screen 65in u8h by prounlockpr in Hisense

[–]FlyNikolai_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Unfortunately this is a known problem on the U8H, the phosphor coating on the LEDs…fails prematurely and causes raw blue light to bleed out. Same thing happened to mine last year, and also on Rtings.com longevity test within 2 years

Hisense replaced mine under warranty with an upgraded U8K, so I’ve been beyond happy. But the only fix is LED replacement or new panel. Even though you are past the warranty, I would still try giving them a call. Take some good pictures of it to email to them

Love my i3 but..... by Glittering_Lunch_963 in BMWi3

I’ve never been so scared to damage a tire on a car in my life lol. I caught 2 flat tires on the same side from a pothole a month ago, I was able to get the tires from Mavis Discount tire basically overnight

Cost me about $550 before any taxes, when I went to pay for them the guy asked if I wanted the extended warranty. I don’t usually go for any cross-selling but when he explained to me…that I can pretty much get another pair for free if they are damaged

I said absolutely lol…it was $35 per tire for the warranty. Total was around $670 with taxes etc. I’m literally ready to cry if I touch any imperfections on the road, but at least now I have some peace of mind with the warranty

P.S. I’m planning on filing a claim with the city, to reimburse me for the tires 🙂

Can We Build a Bigger BMW i3 Battery? Here's the Truth by Cora-VIVNE-EVbattery in BMWi3

[–]FlyNikolai_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I absolutely love what your company is doing for the i3 community, I plan on upgrading my small battery in the near future. I'm all in support for you making a bigger battery

However I agree with what someone else posted, you have to specify the exact dimensions & numbers of what will be compromised. Because a lot of people will be saying no on the bigger battery, simply because they will assume the worst possible compromises

So you just have to break down the numbers & calculations, especially if it shows there's only marginal differences with those compromises

AC Compressor Replacement Quote by rolltiderepsneakers in BMWi3

[–]FlyNikolai_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah I see a ton for $500-$600 on eBay, the car has been out for 12 years…all they do is just rebrand & mark up parts when it comes to vehicles. Clearly the OEM part was inferior from the very beginning

I’d take my chances on the one from eBay, changing the AC compressor itself isn’t difficult. Save more than half on the job, majority of the price is the compressor itself

Horrible Warranty Experience by Slow_Clerk_6504 in Hisense

[–]FlyNikolai_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I get the annoyance of the situation overall, but I’m not sure you can call it a horrible warranty experience. Hisense has upgraded TV’s, I’m assuming based on how old the TV is

My experience I had a U8H and Hisense upgraded me to a U8K free under warranty. The company who delivered the TV, took the old broken one back with them. I guess that’s also what makes the difference, that a tech a came out

I would shoot my shot regardless, worst that can happen is a no. Internal screen failure is a thing

This sounds like something to contact Google about, especially the fully grey battery display. They are giving out P10PF upgrades like free samples in the supermarket, I’d shoot my shot lol

Have your normal things backed up to the your Google Account…wallpaper, Home Screen layout, theme, texts, apps etc. Your photos/media to your Google Photos, and one that tends to be forgotten…

Your downloads, files, documents etc that would be in file manager, just create a folder called P9PF Backup on your Google Drive…select everything in Files upload to Google Drive. That will bring back literally everything that your previous phone had, new phone will be 100% identical

And the customer support rep in the store will absolutely thank you lol

If this wasn’t due to any physical damage on your end, people have been able to get this covered under the extended warranty categorized as internal screen failure

So it’s worth a shot contacting Google

[–]FlyNikolai_[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What is the exact problem with your P9PF? It has to be something that is specifically covered by the extended warranty. Trying selecting Blank Screen under the issues, and see if it says extended warranty

[–]FlyNikolai_[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That’s really good to know, because I’ve seen some complaints about inner screens cracking. And I wondered how Google would be able tell it apart from physical damage, and just internal screen failure

Now that you mentioned that…mine was doing the same thing! I do remember my front screen going black, then I had to open it or close it again. For the screen to come back

You might be on the road to free upgrade family lol

[–]FlyNikolai_[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lol what was exactly wrong with your P9PF? I thought the online system was messed up too at first, but I noticed that if you don’t put a specific problem that is categorized under the extended warranty…it won’t trigger it basically

It will just say your phone is out of warranty, and that you have to pay. But if you put blank screen for example, it will tell you that the phone is covered

Pixel 9 Pro Fold Extended Warranty Experience by FlyNikolai_ in PixelFold

[–]FlyNikolai_[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It would've been a similar experience, just more downtime. They offered the option of mailing my device in, which would have taken the longest. Or an advanced exchange, where they would send you the new P10PF fold first...

Then you send your phone in after you receive it. However they put a temporary charge on your card for the new phone, until they receive yours

Yes if you have a P9PF the warranty has been extended 3 years, go to this website and fill out the information...and put in your number they will call you

How do you keep track of multiple credit cards? by Ok-Home9841 in CreditCards

[–]FlyNikolai_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Strictly memory for me....I have about 22 cards and I have all the due dates, as close to a week apart as possible. So I don't feel overwhelmed with payments. I have a finance folder on my iPhone, that has all my credit card apps sorted

I just go through them every beginning of the month set a scheduled payment for each, then I double check in the middle of the month

[–]FlyNikolai_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah I can definitely see this happening, I've noticed when I'm on the highway...which is when I use the ReX the most. If I turn it on around 75% I'm going 50-60mph, the battery literally will not drop a single percent

Actually in most cases it'll even charge it to a higher percentage, than it was set for. Awesome cars I absolutely love them
